Chickerell Primary Academy is a school that ensures that children’s best interests are at the heart of every decision we make. Our amazing children and staff make our school - and pre school- the success it is, and it is our moral duty to continue to ensure that we provide the kind of experiences seen by Ofsted in December 2024 so that the Yr 6 pupils leave us genuinely ‘secondary ready’ - in every sense, academically, emotionally and socially.

"Mixed experience, but room for improvement"

We've had a decent experience at Chickerell Primary Academy, but we feel that the school could do more to engage with parents and keep us informed about our child's progress. The teaching staff vary in quality, and we've had some issues with communication and organization. However, we do appreciate the emphasis on character education and the school's commitment to providing a positive and supportive learning environment.

"A positive and supportive learning environment"

We've been impressed by the caring and nurturing approach of the teachers at Chickerell Primary Academy. Our child feels safe and happy at school, and we love the emphasis on pupil voice and Rights Respecting values. The school's commitment to emotional learning and well-being is also outstanding. We're grateful for the opportunities our child has had to participate in extracurricular activities, such as sports and arts programs.

"Excellent school for our children to grow"

We moved to Chickerell Primary Academy when our children were in Reception and Years 1, and we couldn't be happier. The staff and facilities are amazing, and our kids have made incredible progress in their reading, writing, and numeracy skills. We especially love the Chickadees Pre-school and the after-school programs, which have helped our children develop new skills and make friends. We will always be grateful for the experience our children had at this school.
