Stuart Bathurst Catholic High School

I went to this school in 2010 and got myself kicked out in 2013 that’s how bad it is I intentionally got myself kicked out. I was bullied severely through most of my time there, many of those times right in front of the teachers who did nothing about it, some even laughed, this school is full of horrible wicked students who haven’t been raised properly and unprofessional teachers who don’t wanna do their jobs. If I got angry or lost my temper in response to me being tormented or assaulted by other students I would only be punished while the other students got away with it. I suffer with ADHD which the teachers knew about but didn’t care, being at this school affected my mental health and still does to this day, I was never able to gain any qualifications and I lost the will and courage to attend anything to do with education because of what this school did to me, I ended up mixing with the wrong people, I’ve broken many laws, turned to drugs and even been sentence to prison quite a few times and it all leads back to this school, Infact I enjoyed prison more than I ever did at Stuart Bathurst, I’m turning my life around now but I will never forget the pain and suffering this school has done to me.

They haven’t had internet for about 4 months and they blame us for it. Save you kids from this shithole very few nice teachers.

the worst! if you want to send ur child here then be prepared for them to fail their gcse's, they would rather have the school look good instead of helping your child! if you have something to say about a teacher the rest of the staff will just side with the teacher instead of trying to hear your point of view. many kids dont have certain school attire and yet they pick on one. unfair if u ask me

Employs racist teachers

A teacher from this school named cheryl Bennett has made a racist remark because someone voted for akhmed yakkob.The teacher should be punished by getting sacked as it is discriminating a whole of the Pakistani community.

Unpleasant, condescending upper staff, no training is provided, very disorganised, and your needs are not considered nor respected.

I was a student at the school for 7 years. The school refuses to assist students beyond the academic environment, has no sense of commitment and sees you as a set of numbers rather than a person. They do not want to know their students, they only care about the formula funding that they receive per pupil.

The teaching quality is rapidly deteriorating, with many teachers finding alternative schools that will value them more. Teachers are reluctant to stay at the school, due to their lack of communication and sufficient pay. If you choose to teach here, expect to complete more than is asked of your position. The workload tends to be unmanageable and requires the patience of a Saint, ironic as the school preaches such values.

The building, much like the patience of students and staff alike, is crumbling. There are constant renovations on site, but the changes so far have been largely cosmetic, they’re trying to save face. The facilities are poorly maintained, so good luck with using the bathroom, IF they let you because it’s highly unlikely that they will.

Their idea of a behaviour policy mimics those of Victorian institutions, you could say it’s archaic but considering the building, I think it’s very fitting. Rather dealing with the issues at hand, they’d much prefer to hold you against your will inside a classroom, if you’re lucky you’ll be put isolation. Trust me, isolation seems like a privilege compared to some of the teachers. The behavioural system puts other classes at a disadvantage, good luck having disruptive children forced into your classroom, because that’s how the school works.

If you want a school that prepares you for life, whether that be university or an apprenticeship, look elsewhere. The school across the road is leaps and bounds better, because it actually looks and functions like a school, rather than an institution for the unwell. The only people unwell in that school are the circus of clowns known the senior leadership team and governance. If you want be disappointed, be my guest and apply, it does not get better. I would recommend this school to anyone who hates their child’s existence and wants them to suffer numerous mental health issues.

It's all about fighting and a lot more and I just can't suffer

They give us this stupid app called sparx maths for our bloody homework then we ain’t allowed to wear earrings

The school was being bullied there and now they are causing my child to be put in isolation tomorrow and another child said something to my child and my child said that she called her a slag and called her mum also a slag first of all why ain’t she getting punished for what the bully has done to trigger her in the first place BAD SCHOOL WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE SCHOOL DONT SEND YOUR CHILD THERE TO BE BULIED THEN PUT IN ISOLATION FOR STICKING UP FOR HER SELF ALL THANKS TO MRS BAILIES THE YEAR 7 PASTORAL LEADER AND THE HEAD OF YEAR MRS PEPPER THEY ALL STICK UP FOR THE BULIES DONT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE TO BE PUT IN ISOLATION FOR BEING BULIED AND ALSO THE UNIFORM POLICY ALSWELL YOU CANT WEAR BOOTS IN THE WINTER ALSO YOU CANT WEAR SOCKS WITH SKIRTS SO IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR CHILD TO HAVE A HEAT STROKE DONT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE

Amazing school absolutely love it.

What a disgraceful school it goes against everything they believe in. Pupils don’t feel safe or valued. Pupils get beaten up by gangs of boys teachers are just bystanders watching this go on and do nothing about don’t even call the police.
Vulnerable pupils picked on by staff members it just the lowest of the low .
I wouldn’t recommend or advise any parent considering sending their children there.
Please think twice it’s disgraceful and disgusting your child will not be safe.

My experience here... Is bad, I have been in a fight twice and hearing racist comments about me more than 10 times. One day a student was going to fight me but I ran to the office and guess what.. They didn't take it seriously.(Could have died already cause of stabbing from bullies) I told them how many times I almost felt bad to sui**** and didn't do anything but to make things worse for me. The isolation teacher hates me a she's the one to put me in isolation the most and I feel they are doing it just cause I am black?! Kill this school not a great school.
This school needs to be shut down.

Not very good with students with medical conditions. No matter how many meetings we had with the school for things to be put in place, nothing ever got sorted out.

This school is so, so bad. They are rubbish. I can't say it enough. You can get into trouble for stupid things, the school isn't cleaned enough and the teachers need to learn that students can pick a different path. For example, once I accidentally hit someone with a football and they put me in Inclusion for a day and 2 periods. Wooowwwww!!! Best school ever right? Obviously sarcasm there. It's a disgrace and it's stupid. Get better Stuart Bathurst.

I am due to go to collage around September time, I asked my head of year for my predicted grades and they’ve gave me grades for spring even know we haven’t had a spring term in other words the school is useless. There was a kid that touched a year 9 inappropriately and makes jokes about touching children and every time I have reported him he’s got away with it, he did this for about a year until he left because he was being bullied

I was initially drawn to Stuart Bathurst's strong Catholic identity, and my child did benefit from the sense of community. However, I felt the curriculum was sometimes too rigid, and the school could do more to support students with special needs. Still, a solid choice for a Catholic education

Burn it down and build a gey bar on top of it

I've been thoroughly impressed with the commitment to Catholic values at Stuart Bathurst. My child has grown in their faith and has access to excellent teaching and facilities. The school's partnership with the parish is also wonderful to see.

Stuart Bathurst has exceeded our expectations in every way. The school's emphasis on 'steadfast faith' is something we've seen firsthand, and the teachers are dedicated to helping students grow in all areas. The facilities are excellent, and the Sixth Form has given my child a great start towards their future.
