"I hate you all"

Terrible school. Allows the quiet ones to suffer in silence and takes the wrong sides, enabling the real problem students to get away with their horrible behaviour.

"Broke 🫡"

It’s a decent enough school, with good education and a great sense of community, the only thing i will say about it is that the school is broke.

"Needs to change"

I came to this school with hope; but huge anxiety as this was a world unknown.

When I realised cliques were forming quickly, many were left in a corner with nothing but hope of the day to finish. (myself included). No one tried to change that dynamic.

Bulimia and Anorexia ran riot throughout the school and I remember clearly - Ms B*******s and other teachers bring us to an assembly.
"Girls stop throwing up in the toilets - you're blocking the pipes". Nothing else was addressed. I had my skirt pulled down during a practice awards ceremony as apparently it was too short. I wasn't told off (and I never wore a short skirt, although it had been rolled slightly) - it was physically pulled down by a member of staff. I was mortified.

Those girls struggling in the worst, horrible way were seen as delinquents and were never reached out to. And most importantly, it was self harm and suicide affecting every person within this community.

We had amazing teachers. Some were tough, some were funny, some were mellow and some were extra creative.. but I feel I will always feel that management let down every party; Admin, Teachers, Students. Where were the staff above them?

Some will thrive in this environment, some won't like any other school. Good luck.

Just don't think that anyone will always be there to save you.

"An amazing education for my daughter"

My daughter has thrived at Watford Grammar School for Girls. The school's values of independence, creativity, and ambition have been instilled in her, and she is now a confident young woman. The facilities are excellent, and the staff are always supportive.

"A mixed experience so far"

Our daughter is still in her first year at Watford Grammar School for Girls, and while we are pleased with the school's emphasis on STEM subjects, we have encountered some difficulties with communication from the school. We hope that these issues will be resolved as the year progresses.

"Wonderful experience for my daughters"

We have two daughters who attended Watford Grammar School for Girls, and we couldn't be prouder of the women they have become. The school's focus on academic excellence, as well as extracurricular activities, helped them develop a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

"Terrible "

very high pressure environment - students often end up suffering with poor mental health and receive little to no pastoral support as most teacher have only expressed concern for grades. emphasis is placed on STEM minded students and is not a welcoming environment to disabled/SEN students either. many teachers regularly bully children over small, useless rules such as only accepting white socks (and no other color) for PE. high amounts of homework and pressure many of the students have turned to drug/alcohol/sexual promiscuity to escape and these students are demonised by staff and not helped. Also, racism and religious intolerance is clear - white atheist students feelings are prioritised. Jewish and Muslim students in particular are sidelined. AVOID!

"Amazing part of my life"

Amazing school full of kind, hardworking and intelligent peers. We have good ethos and value wellbeing for ourselves as well as others through various charitable events that we can take part in. The teachers are very able, as well as fun and funny! As a student, as long as u avoid a certain teacher whose name rhymes with pie, you will have no problem with staff (who are friendly) and you will have the best time of your life here. Honestly its an amazing place to be and I feel comfortable and safe here, perhaps bcuz it’s a girls school. I could go on and on about the expansive sports, STEM and arts opportunities, as well as amazing academics, but I’ll stop here. 😊

"extremely poor"

absolutely do not recommend!!! this school is a terrible and damaging place to send your girls, putting so much pressure and standards too high to reach. they have clearly no clue what to do when it comes to neurodivergent or independent students as the school relies on fear to keep its students in shape. the head teacher is a harsh woman and has no sympathy for the girls attending. do not send your daughter here!

"please NO "

this school is terrible at handling racism, bullying and religious intolerance. also, the amount of academic pressure put on the children is damaging. this is also a very ableist school that does little to include children who are disabled; physically and mentally. saved by the fact that some teachers are the most supportive people you’ll ever meet, and the fact that its a high achieving school

"Not bad!"

Great school however doesn’t live up to its reputation as being strongly academic.
