Whitchurch Primary school is situated on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Tavistock, on the very edge of Dartmoor National Park. It is a mixed primary school for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years where staff, parents and governors work together to ensure that every child achieves their best.

"Wonderful experience"

I'm so grateful to Whitchurch Community Primary School for providing my child with a wonderful education and a love for learning. The school's values of kindness, resilience and determination are clear to see in the way the staff and children treat each other. My child loves attending school and is making great progress academically.

"Mixed feelings"

While my child is happy at Whitchurch Community Primary School and the staff are very supportive, I do feel that the school could do more to engage with parents. Communication can be a bit patchy at times, and it would be great to see more parent-teacher workshops and other events. However, the school's commitment to outdoor learning is excellent, and my child loves spending time in the woodland conservation area.

"Great facilities and community"

We moved out of the area and our child has now left Whitchurch Community Primary School, but we still have many fond memories of our time there. The school's facilities are excellent, with a lovely playground and a well-resourced library. The school also has a strong sense of community, with many opportunities for parents to get involved.
