About Bishop Wordsworth's Church of England Grammar School

Bishop Wordsworth's School was founded in 1890 by John Wordsworth, Bishop of Salisbury. The school has remained true to its founder’s traditions by following three basic aims: To encourage all our pupils to develop their potential to the full by setting themselves the highest standards of excellence and achievement; To develop in all our pupils the integrity and the means to face confidently the challenges of a fast-changing world; To inspire all our pupils to lead happy, purposeful and responsible lives.

"Good experience, but some areas for improvement"

We have had a good experience at Bishop Wordsworth's School, but there are some areas that could be improved. The teachers are generally excellent, but some subjects are better than others. The school's focus on pastoral care is also a strength.

"Fantastic start to our school journey"

We were a bit nervous about choosing a school, but Bishop Wordsworth's has exceeded all our expectations. The induction process was smooth, the teachers are welcoming and the facilities are top-notch. Our child is settling in well and we're excited to see them grow.

"Excellent Education and Care"

We are absolutely delighted with Bishop Wordsworth's School. Our child has thrived in their first year and the teachers have been incredibly supportive. The facilities are fantastic and the pastoral care is second to none. We couldn't be happier!

"Outstanding Education and Community"

We sent our child to Bishop Wordsworth's School for 7 years and had an outstanding experience. The education was superb and the extracurricular activities were a great way to encourage our child's passions. The community is warm and welcoming, we have made lifelong friends.
