Ysgol Bae Baglan

Ysgol Bae Baglan is an English-medium all-age school for pupils aged 3 to 16, located near Seaway Parade in Port Talbot. It was established in 2016 through the amalgamation of three secondary schools (Cwrt Sart, Glan Afan, Sandfields) and one primary school (Traethmelyn Primary). The school serves approximately 1,500 students, with around 286 in primary education and 1,226 in secondary. It is a multi-award-winning 21st Century school with a strong focus on sustainability, holding a BREEAM Excellent rating and an Energy Performance Certificate of A. The school offers extensive support for pupils with additional learning needs and vulnerable pupils, including a dedicated inclusion unit and tailored support plans. Facilities include innovative energy-saving features such as a transpired solar collector integrated into the sports hall.
