About Plympton Academy

Plympton Academy is a mixed secondary school where we inspire success for our young people aged 11-19 in Plympton. We are proud of our students and staff, and we want all students to share that pride – in themselves, and in their school – so that they can learn well and make outstanding progress.

"Transforming Life Chances"

My child has truly thrived at Plympton Academy, thanks to the school's commitment to transforming life chances. The National Youth Orchestra program has been a game-changer for my child, and I'm so grateful for the school's support in developing their musical talents. The teachers are dedicated and passionate about helping students achieve their full potential.

"Excellent School, Outstanding Values"

My child has been at Plympton Academy for a year now, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the school's values and facilities. The teachers are always approachable and supportive, and the extracurricular activities offer my child so much scope for creativity and confidence-building. I love how the school encourages 'Community, Courage, Compassion, and Curiosity' in everything they do.

"Mixed Feelings"

I have mixed feelings about Plympton Academy, having had a child there a few years ago. While the school's facilities are excellent and the teachers are generally supportive, I feel that the school could do more to engage with parents and provide more opportunities for students to explore their interests outside of the classroom. That being said, my child had a good experience at the school and made some great friends.
