About Hooe Primary Academy

Hooe Primary has been educating children on our current school site since 1926. Our primary aim is to encourage all our pupils to be self-confident, inquiring, tolerant, positive individuals, who have respect for the differences of others. We believe that our pupils should clearly understand their responsibility for their own learning so that they value their education and the opportunities, excitement and joy that learning provides.

"Lovely school, wonderful staff"

We've been at Hooe Primary for a few years now and we couldn't be happier! The facilities are great, the teachers are fantastic and the values of the school really shine through in the way the children are encouraged to be confident and respectful. My child loves going to school and that says it all for me.

"Very happy with the school"

My child started at Hooe Primary last year and we're really happy with the progress they've made. The teachers are all very supportive and the school's emphasis on being 'happy, passionate and ambitious' really resonates with us. We've also been impressed with the facilities, especially the outdoor classroom and adventure play areas.

"Mixed feelings about the school"

We were at Hooe Primary for a few years and had some ups and downs. The teachers were generally good but sometimes I felt like they were more focused on the class as a whole rather than individual children's needs. The facilities are certainly impressive and the values of the school are something to be proud of, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it to everyone.
