About The Russett School

The Russett School is a specialist setting registered for pupils aged 2 to 19 years whose primary need is associated with having a Severe Learning Difficulty (also known as SLD) and/or Complex Learning Needs. Our curriculum is bespoke, designed specifically for learners who have SLD. We aim to provide outstanding educational opportunities through a personalised curriculum.

"Excellent support for SLD children"

Russett School has been a godsend for my child who has SLD. The bespoke curriculum has been tailored to their needs and the staff are knowledgeable and caring. The sensory disco on Halloween was a highlight for my child and they've made some wonderful friends.

"Best school for my child"

Russett School has exceeded my expectations! The staff are caring and the facilities are excellent. My child has thrived on the Coastal Pathway and the sensory disco on Halloween was such a fun experience.

"Mixed feelings"

I have mixed feelings about Russett School. While the staff are friendly and the facilities are good, I feel that the school could improve communication with parents about their child's progress. My child has had a good experience on the Countryside Pathway, but I've had some concerns about the class sizes.

"Outstanding support for SEN children"

As a former parent of a child with SLD, I can confidently say that Russett School provided the best possible education and support for my child. The values of community, resilience, wellbeing, respect, and empowerment are truly embodied by the staff and pupils.
