We are a voluntary-aided (VA) church school near Potters Bar. Originally founded in 1851 and extended gradually since then, we serve the village of Northaw in Hertfordshire.

"Lovely school with great values and staff"

My children have settled in well and are thriving at Northaw. They love the emphasis on values such as perseverance and kindness, and the teachers seem really dedicated to helping them reach their potential. The facilities are also excellent with plenty of outdoor space for them to play and learn.

"Great school with a lot to offer"

My child is really enjoying Northaw and I'm impressed with the range of activities and programs on offer. The teachers are also very supportive and the school's emphasis on faith and values is really important to me. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the playground could do with a bit of an update!

"Decent school but some areas for improvement"

We've been at Northaw for a year now and while it's been okay, I do think there are some areas that could be improved. The teachers are generally nice and my child seems to be learning a lot, but I've had some issues with communication and the school's approach to SEND support has been inconsistent. Overall, it's an okay school but I wouldn't say it's the best in the area.

"Excellent all-round school"

My children attended Northaw a few years ago and I was really impressed with the school as a whole. The teachers were always approachable and the values-based education really helped them develop into confident and compassionate young people. I would highly recommend Northaw to any parent.
