A happy, friendly school, set in the heart of Newbiggin-by-the-Sea. The inclusive ethos that Grace Darling values is represented through our core belief that everyone can ‘Let their light shine’. We aim to ensure that our children have a ‘can-do’ attitude towards learning through an environment that enables each child to feel happy and safe, valued and secure as they grow, learn and develop.

"Best School Ever!"

I couldn't be happier with the care and education my child receives at NCEA Grace Darling CofE Primary School. The staff are so supportive and the facilities are excellent, especially the wraparound care which gives me peace of mind. I love the school's values and feel proud to see my child growing into a kind and compassionate person.

"Some Positives, Some Room for Improvement"

I like the inclusive ethos of the school and the staff are generally friendly, but I do think that communication could be better. My child has settled well, but I've noticed that some of the facilities could do with a refresh. Overall, it's a good school, but I'm not yet convinced that it's the best fit for our family.

"Wonderful School"

I've been impressed with the school's approach to teaching and learning. The staff are friendly and approachable, and my child always comes home excited about their day. The breakfast club and after-school activities are also great, giving me the flexibility to work while knowing my child is safe and happy.

"Excellent Foundation for Life"

My child attended this school from reception to year 6 and I was consistently impressed with the care and education they received. The school's values are evident in the way the children treat each other and the emphasis on kindness and compassion is truly wonderful. I feel confident that my child was well-prepared for secondary school.
