Prospect House Specialist Support Primary School

Prospect House Specialist Support Primary School is a free special primary school located in Higher Blackley, North Manchester, serving children aged 3-11 years with very significant learning needs and other associated additional needs. The school opened in 2022 as the first Prospere Learning Trust school to open north of Manchester, occupying a brand new purpose-built site with specialist facilities. The school was graded Outstanding in all areas following its Ofsted inspection in 2023, with inspectors noting that 'Prospect House provides an inspiring learning environment in which pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities flourish. Pupils are extremely happy and safe. Leaders and staff have created a respectful and nurturing school where everybody matters.' The school features state-of-the-art facilities including a hydropool with changing facilities and pool hoisting, autism-friendly classrooms and corridors, a Food Technology Room, Library, Immersive Learning Room, Sensory Regulation Room, and therapy animals including dogs and KuneKune pigs. The curriculum is highly personalized, with individual learning targets based on each student's current levels and aspirations, emphasizing applied communication and life skills through real-life experiences and enrichment opportunities across Manchester.
