About CHS South

Welcome to CHS South, our 11-16 eight-form entry, mixed, comprehensive school opened in conjunction with Chorlton High School in September 2018. Our school provides 240 places in each Year Group, creating a school community of 1200 students.

"Excellent School, Excellent Team!"

I'm so pleased with CHS South. The facilities are amazing, the staff are supportive and the values are spot on. My son has thrived in this environment and I feel confident that he's receiving a well-rounded education. The recent trip to Paris was a highlight for him and I'm so grateful for the opportunities the school provides.

"A Great Start to High School"

We're loving every minute of our time at CHS South. The school's focus on girls' education is fantastic and the teachers are all passionate about what they do. The facilities are top-notch and the extra-curricular activities on offer are endless. We feel so lucky to have found this school.

"A Good School, But Room for Improvement"

We had a great experience at CHS South, but there were a few things that could be improved. The communication from the school could be better, and we felt that some of the teachers could be more supportive. However, the school's commitment to girls' education is excellent and our daughter benefited from the opportunities available to her. Overall, a good school that could be even better with a bit more attention to detail.
