The teachers here were casually racist to non-white pupils. I find this worrying, that educators can't wrap their heads around the fact that singling out someone because of their race, assuming they or their family can't speak English, is racism. A white pupil would never be subject to such treatment. The teachers here favour the 'popular' kids and make no effort to hide it, encouraging their bad behaviour. The receptionists are stony-faced and treat pupils with such disdain. They would rather sit around and gossip while someone waits at the desk to speak to them. It's like they're trying to be incompetent on purpose. Some teachers are decent, but most are disorganised and seem like they can't be bothered to teach.

"Rubbish school"

Islamaphobic, racist, unhygienic, pro Zionist school no joke. If you want to have 9/11 (ground 0) mentioned in an RE lesson being compared to going to Mekkah (pilgrimage) then go to Newlands(the teacher who said this you know who you are). They have double standards when raising money for Ukraine but putting you on the watch list for saying free Palestine!!! (Pro Zionist teachers) 0 funding aswell it went to he swimming pool instead! πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ˜¨!! Want for poisoning? Go the canteen and eat their food they reuse and don’t cook properly!Biased political views shown by teachers consistently. Saw Two students making out in the corridor. Love the degeneracy πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

"Disappointing experience and out come for both daughters."

Teachers are not equipped to teach in a modern setting. The school relys heavily on parent supplied home tutors to again good results. Pupils that progress and attain good results all ready have a natural tallent and may be held back by the poor quality of teaching. In my experience pupils who are neurally diverse will suffer at this school as the senior management have no understanding of how to make adjustments to support these pupils and choose not to support them, they would rather off roll them, creating mental health issues for the future. Very disappointing for a school which claims to be outstanding. OSTED needs to talk the parents not just look at the data.

"It’s a perfect school xxx"

The school is poorly designed, not cleaned properly and has had many dodgy teachers. The cantine food is expensive and of low quality, often undercooked or cold. The medical team is under qualified and cannot help you with many of your injuries. The mental health focusing team completely is unqualified in psychology and do not help you in useful ways. Academically it is a great school. If you want your child to excel in school work but hate their school and everything about it then send them here. Because it’s all about the grades, right?

"Terrible school"

The school is just in shambles. The academic experience is appalling to say the least, the students are completely loose and the teachers are beyond useless. There have been countless complaints of bullying, harassment, abuse etc from multiple parents but the school does quite literally nothing about it. Had my daughter complain about being bullied for about 4 months to the point where she was getting threatened and was afraid to even enter the school buss. Had MULTIPLE arguments and conversations with the head teacher and other members of staff but they simply told me that literal threats are not bullying; not only is this disgusting but even if the issue was resolved it should've been resolved on my first call not after 10+. I would highly recommend you keep your kids away from this place as the children learn the bare minimum (if even) and the mental/physical dangers are too much.

"Exceptional Education and Care"

We've been thoroughly impressed with the education and care provided by Newlands Girls' School for our daughter. The 3Cs of Courage, Commitment, and Compassion really shine through in the way the teachers and staff support the girls. The facilities are also excellent, and our daughter loves participating in the school sports teams.

"Good but Room for Improvement"

We've been pleased with the education our daughter is receiving at Newlands Girls' School, but there are a few areas where we feel the school could improve. The facilities are good, but we've had some issues with communication from the school when it comes to reporting and updates. Overall, we're happy, but we do think the school has potential to be even better.

Newlands Girls School is not a good place for a girl to progress acidemically and learn. The teachers are not eqipped to teach and can have multiple teachers which switch within a short amount of time, this will cause the student to get confused and not be able to balence all of the books. If the student doesnt feel like she has a good relationship with teachers then it is a fact that she will not learn efficiantly. They will expirience bullying harrasment and racist comments which the teachers will do nothing about. A fight has gone on quite recently it was very clear who instigated it and the victum got ingured the schools disition was that everyone who was involved took the same punishment. The school did not bother to investigate and only cared about their reputation and what people would see from the outside.

"Wonderful Memories and Preparation for Future"

Our daughter attended Newlands Girls' School for three years and we have only positive memories. The school's values and ethos really resonated with us, and the girls were well-prepared for their GCSEs and beyond. We were particularly impressed with the school's approach to mental health and wellbeing.

Really just a bad place to go. The whole place is badly run and the school does nothing about bullying or homophobia and racial abuse. The classrooms look like they haven’t been updated since the school was first built and the overal work environment is very bad.

"Newlands’ Girls School"

The school is good for year 7-11, it’s main focus. The all girl atmosphere can be toxic at times but all in all it’s enjoyable. Not very focused on the 6th form so I would definitely keep your options open for after GCSEs
