"Review of The Highfield School"

The School is an absolute mess, The School has introduced phone pouches which has a magnet lock to keep students from there phones in lesson although there are easier alternatives, if you say you don't have a phone they will search you, the school in my experience has had a bad experience with safeguarding and not having a way to contact a guardian makes me feel unsafe, the front office is a mess too, the only staff with manners are the groundskeepers, the teachers or the majority of them are now on a power surge disregarding basic human manners as if they are a higher life form and have no regard for students, the only good thing i can think of is that female students get toilet breaks, if you are seen with a phone or hoodie you are most likely to get a suspension or reset but if you are bullied or there is racism they have no regard for it, the school generally doesn’t provide satisfactory education or safeguarding, i do not recommend this school to anyone,

"My view"

Always feel scared to go around the school, and feel like I’m gonna get pushed over or something like that, especially at recess, the amount of fights that go on and the amount of people that get picked on and the staff don’t do anything about it is ridiculous. Above that, most staff are lovely and supportive.

"A True Community Feel at Highfield"

Having moved to the area last year, I was a bit nervous about sending my daughter to Highfield, but the school has truly exceeded our expectations. The 'Caring, Respectful and Determined' values are evident in everything they do, from the amazing pastoral team to the incredible extracurricular programs. My daughter loves the crochet club and the World Challenge students are so inspiring. We feel so lucky to be a part of the Highfield community!

"Break periods"

My main problem is that I feel unsafe during the break periods as people are always fighting, starting arguments, kicking things around and throwing food, plus the staff usually don’t notice.

"A Good, But Not Perfect, Experience So Far"

We've been at Highfield for a year now, and while it's been a generally positive experience for our daughter, there are a few areas that need some improvement. The school's focus on British values is lovely, but sometimes it feels like it's at the expense of other important aspects of education. We've also had some issues with communication from the school, which can be frustrating. That being said, the staff are mostly lovely and the facilities are excellent, so we're giving it a bit more time to see if things improve.

"Highly recommended "

My step daughter has been at highfield for 2 years now and is thriving beyond our expectations. This is down to the teachers and all the staff in the SEN department.

"An amazing school "

A great school with a diverse staff and students. Very welcoming school and a great sixth form.
They have many opportunities for students with sporting and the annual winter showcase or whole school production.

"Someones review"

It's a really good school with really good teachers, but sometimes the things teachers/staff do don't make sense, like the current one way system: sometimes you have to go all the way around the building to get to your locker or next class.

"An Unforgettable Highfield Experience"

My two children attended Highfield and it was an absolute pleasure to see them thrive in such a supportive and stimulating environment. From the talented music department to the innovative digital learning facilities, every aspect of the school is designed to help students reach their full potential. The values of care, respect and determination are not just empty words - they're lived out every day by students and staff alike. I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of the Highfield family.
