Heycroft Primary School is a friendly, happy, vibrant school located in Eastwood. We have an amazing teaching team and are very proud of how together, with our pupils, parents, governors and staff, we are a community of learners that grow together with the children at the centre of everything we do.

"Warm and welcoming community!"

We've been at Heycroft for 3 years now and we feel so lucky to have such a wonderful school community. The teachers are always friendly and approachable, and we've seen our child grow and thrive. We love the focus on creative learning and the positive values they teach the children.

"Fantastic school with a family feel"

Heycroft has been a wonderful choice for our little family. The staff are all so lovely and make us feel at home. We've been blown away by the school's commitment to inclusion and equality, and how it creates a safe and supportive environment for all children. We feel so lucky to be part of the Heycroft community!

"Mixed feelings about the curriculum"

We've had a bit of a mixed experience at Heycroft. The teachers are mostly great, but I'm not entirely convinced about the way they approach certain subjects. My child has had some difficulties with reading, and I'm not sure if the phonics programme is effective for all learners. That being said, the school's values of being 'Ready, Respectful, Responsible and Creative' are really something to be proud of, and we appreciate the emphasis on these qualities.

"Great foundation for lifelong learning"

My daughter attended Heycroft from Reception to Year 2 and we were really impressed with the standard of teaching and the facilities. The school's emphasis on being 'Ready, Respectful, Responsible and Creative' really helped her develop essential life skills. We're grateful for the foundation she received at Heycroft and how it's helped her excel in her next school.
