Ashlands Primary School is a community school in the heart of Ilkley, serving families for more than 70 years. We focus on the education of the whole child: academic, spiritual, emotional, cultural and physical. Our dedicated staff teach with determination and enthusiasm, through an increasingly rich, colourful and varied curriculum.

"Our Child LOVES Ashlands!"

We moved to Ilkley last year and were nervous about our child's transition to primary school. Ashlands has exceeded our expectations in every way. The values and ethos of the school really shine through in the way the teachers and staff interact with the children. Our child is thriving and we couldn't be happier.

"A great all-round school"

We've been really pleased with the progress our child has made since starting at Ashlands. The school's focus on academic excellence, as well as physical and emotional well-being, is exactly what we wanted for our child. We've also been impressed with the range of activities and clubs on offer.

"Mixed feelings about Ashlands"

We've had a bit of a mixed experience with Ashlands. On the one hand, our child loves going to school and the teachers are generally very supportive. On the other hand, we've found the communication with parents to be a bit patchy at times. We're hoping things will improve as our child moves up the school.

"Excellent school with a supportive community"

We were so impressed with Ashlands whilst our child was a student there. The school's commitment to outdoor learning and eco initiatives is truly inspiring. The Saplings Before and After School Club was a lifesaver for us too! We've recommended Ashlands to all our friends.
