"Good but Room for Improvement"

My child is in Year 1 at Chaucer Infant School and has some good experiences. The school's emphasis on the values of Belong, Enjoy, Aim high and respect is nice to see. However, I do think the school could do more to engage parents in the curriculum and provide more regular updates on my child's progress. That being said, the teachers are generally friendly and the Forest School Area is lovely.

I'm so grateful to have Chaucer Infant School for my daughter. The values of Belong, Enjoy, Aim high and respect are truly embedded in the school's culture. My daughter loves the Forest School Area and excels in her learning. The teachers and staff are caring and supportive. I would highly recommend this school to anyone in the Ilkeston area.

"Excellent School with a Great Community"

My child attended Chaucer Infant School from Reception to Year 2 and had an amazing time. The school's focus on learning through play really worked for him. The teachers were always available to discuss my child's progress and the Forest School Area was a highlight. We were part of a wonderful community and I'm so grateful for the experience. If I had another child, I would definitely send them to Chaucer.
