About The Cranbourne Primary School

Cranbourne is a two form entry primary school set in the Hundred Acre estate about a mile from the centre of Hoddesdon. Our motto is “Broadening Horizons” which drives our curriculum, assemblies, and extra-curricular choices. We want our children to understand they are part of, and the future of, a big wide world.

"A Great School with Plenty of Opportunities"

We joined Cranbourne about a year ago and have been really impressed with the school. The playgrounds are great and the staff are always keen to involve parents in school life. We've also been impressed with the variety of activities and trips on offer, such as the Summer Reading Challenge and the recent visit to Shepreth wildlife park.

"A Happy and Supportive School Environment"

We've been at Cranbourne for a few years now and we've had a wonderful experience. The facilities are excellent and the staff are always supportive and enthusiastic. We love the way the school promotes kindness, respect and responsibility in its values.

"A Good but Not Outstanding School"

We had a good experience at Cranbourne when my child was a pupil, but I wouldn't say it was exceptional. The facilities are nice and the staff are generally friendly, but sometimes it felt like the school was more focused on Ofsted reports than on giving our child the best possible education.
