"They care more about there reputation than the pupils"

Hitchin girl school does not actually care about students and will only really ‘care’ about you and your well-being if your attendance begins to drop .my mental health was never good but it only became an issue when my attendance dropped and I was deemed to unwell to even go to school.getting to this point could have been completely prevented.

"Mentally draining too much."

Cares too much about appearance and causes soo much mental stress consequences are too much and exaggerated,attitudes of some teachers are unbelievable,makes people feel as if having a unique appearance is a bad thing and that they should change it to look “normal”.not understanding about cultures and doesn’t allow nose studs (important part of some cultures).makes you feel like fake being sick to get out of school because it’s such a stressful place to be in..

"I didn’t like my time here."

This school seems to care more about what we wear or how much makeup we use instead of our interests and they have impossible expectations. If I have two studs in my ear I can still read, if my skirt is about my knees I can’t still do maths. Hair colour should not be a stereotyped as- if you have pink hair you can’t learn. This school is simply reinforcing the fact of judging someone purely based of their looks.- a former student

"terrible school"

Hated the school. the staff didn’t help any issues and it wasn’t a nice environment. really don’t recommend sending your kid there

"Terrible experience"

This school has a terrible attitude towards the mental wellbeing of their students. They strive for the pupils to achieve high grades, and ignore the stress and pressure that they enforce upon the children. Although some teachers seem to be more undertsanding and supportive, the majority are ignorant of their students mental health. When my daughter and others have gone to the school's pastoral department seeking help and advice, they were turned away and told simply to have a bath and some tea. Truly disappointed in this school's dismissive behavior towards such a vital part of a growing childs life.

"HGS is great "

I love HGS, the staff are so caring and help you achieve your best. the extra curricular activities are so fun and I love all the sports clubs. you get lots of opportunities. some of the teachers are extra helpful and so kind and make the lessons so enjoyable overall I thing HGS is an amazing school and I love it here
