Brighton College Prep Handcross

An incredible Prep school in the most beautiful setting. The teachers are amazing and they really are a very kind and caring school. The facilities are fantastic and they are always investing to improve. They just had a refurb of their boarding house and it looks incredible. A great Headmaster too. One that really cares about the children. Thank you Handcross our daughter is very happy.

Ah, the Brighton College cult.
The Prep is a poor quality school, which parents put up with for the promise of the sunlit uplands at the College. You will tutor your kids to the eyeballs because the CE pressure is massive; any kids that falter will get the infamous "tap on the shoulder" and the encouragement to consider another option - which is not actually a request.
Academically borderline children will have trumped up behavioural charges levelled at them, and will lose the "headmaster's recommendation" - the death knell for their chances at the College.
Don't be fooled by all the talk of kindness and inclusivity - this is the cruellest prep school in the country. Apparently the College is no better either, although their ruthless weeding at CE means they keep the grades up, which is all they really care about.
On the plus side, the food is apparently quite good.

Our daughter has thrived at Brighton College Prep Handcross. The staff are friendly and approachable, and the facilities are excellent. We particularly appreciate the emphasis on kindness and mutual respect, which aligns perfectly with our family values.

Our son loves attending Brighton College Prep Handcross. The teachers are kind, supportive, and enthusiastic, and the opportunities for extracurricular activities are vast. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful school for our child.

We were impressed with the school's facilities and the passion of the teachers. However, we did experience some communication issues with the school office, which was frustrating at times. Overall, we are pleased with our child's education, but there is room for improvement.

We have been consistently pleased with the support provided by the school for our child's academic and emotional needs. The boarding option has allowed our child to develop important life skills, and the staff are always available to offer guidance and reassurance.
