About The Gateway Primary Free School

The Gateway Primary Free School and Nursery is a state-funded school for 3–11 year olds. It is sponsored by the Ormiston Trust and is part of the wider Gateway Learning Community Trust, as such it benefits from a wide range of resources and expertise to ensure that standards of learning and behaviour are high and that there is a wide breadth of opportunity for all pupils.

"Fantastic school for our children"

We've been with Gateway Primary Free School for 3 years now and have seen our children grow and thrive. The facilities are excellent and the staff are always approachable and supportive. We love the focus on developing responsible, resilient and compassionate young people - it really shows in their behavior and attitudes. Highly recommend!

"A great experience for our children"

We moved our children to Gateway Primary Free School when they were in Year 2 and were a bit worried about the transition. However, the school was fantastic - our children loved the trips and visits, and the teachers were always keen to stay in touch. My children are now doing well at secondary school and I think the foundation they got at Gateway Primary Free School has helped them a lot.

"Some positives, but areas for improvement"

We've been at Gateway Primary Free School for a year now and have seen some great things. The school's values of responsibility, resilience and compassion are really evident in the way the children behave, and the facilities are great. However, we've had some issues with communication between teachers and parents, and we've seen some inconsistency in the quality of teaching. Overall, we're hopeful that the school will continue to improve and we'll be happy to stay.
