I moved from London nearly 4 years ago now, because I became increasingly concerned about the way the school system was going, particularly in London. Safe to say it is the best thing we ever did. My daughter has thrived in ways she never could have in London. Her classes have been between 10 and 16 student max, not the 30 kids she had in Reception class. Her maths went from non- existant to now asking for additional maths homework, she is ahead in her reading and writing and literally never complains about going to school ever. Greenfields is surrounded by peaceful woodland, its a very relaxing environment for the children, The teachers are attentive and truly care about each and every child. They make learning so creative and interactive, I would have dreamed of a full on Roman Banquet when I was learning about the Romans at school. There is a zero tolerance on bullying that is actually followed through and handled, so that upsets are stopped fully and there is no ongoing awkwardness or worry, but there is barley anything to handle because the children also have weekly lessons where they talk about about values and following " The way to Happiness" which is a good living, non religious guide to living a moral and ethical life for yourself and others. The study technology is the gift that really helps children "how" to learn and makes every subject approachable and really supports the children in finding their own willingness to learn and discover and be interested truly in learning at school. I couldn't be happier, there is a real extended family type feel to this school, the Parents are from all walks of life and are always on hand to help each other out and my daughter has already said she wasn't to stay at Greenfields all the way through to 16.
I wish every child could experience a school like this.
