"A real struggle"

If your child is challenged with education / not a high achiever then this school is not the one.
Autism or mental health / dyslexia is also over looked and the pupils end up spending more time in detentions or isolation days than actually learning.
Mostly for petty reasons and boy is there a lot of petty reason the teachers use.
Challenged children need more help and every available class hour, not less.😢

"RUN awayyyy"

A lot of sick teachers work here who get off on overpowering children and bullying them.

Still dealing with the trauma to this day.

This place is run more like a prison for Ofsted. Luckily, it’s finally gone down to ‘good’. Should have been worse when I was there years ago.

They owe me, hypothetically, thousands of pounds in therapy.

The previous head has moved over to other schools, please research and don’t go to those either as it will turn into a similar ‘academy’ aka prison. One of the previous head of years I won’t name is also sick in the head and bullies children. SICKOS

"Weydon is hell on earth!"

From a former student,
Weydon is one of the worst schools I’ve ever went to compared to the ones I have had the chance to go to (including a considerably poor one in Russia). The teachers don’t have an ounce of sympathy for their students and if you don’t get good enough grades you are labelled ‘a bad student’. I felt constantly discriminated against by the staff because of my grades and I would be targeted by the teachers resulting in me spending weeks in iso for no reason. Fortunately I did not experience any bullying from the students all tho many of my friends did. Another major problem was the drug use. I have had my classmates come in visibly stoned and the teachers didn’t even care. One of my dear friends fell victim to the drug problem and ended up passing out in the school toilets and the school reluctantly let him go home. Sexual misconduct at Weydon was something that happened on a weekly basis with student’s nudes from all years being sent around to everyone. Further more to ‘combat’ this the school did the bare minimum. All they did was an assembly that basically publicly humiliated he victim. On multiple occasions I was unable to go home even if I was visibly sick because of ‘attendance records’. They are so focused on their ratings rather then the actual well being and education of their students. I can go on and on about all of the issues and corruption that this school is riddled with but I will end it here. PLEASE do not consider this school as it is only appealing on the outside but is a nightmare on the inside.

"DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE"

I’ve only been in Weydon for a short period of time but I already hate it. The detention system is awful and we have a thing called reflection room. Basically, you get put in a room with one teacher and are supposed to ‘reflect’ on what you’ve done, bare in mind that you can get warnings ( 3 warnings get you sent to reflection room) for small things like highlighting a word or looking at people. Do not send your child here!

"Love it 😍 "

I love this school- only just joined in September so I’ve got a bit to learn still but I find the teachers fun and understanding, and the subjects taught in-depth and with support whenever you need it. I especially enjoy P.E, because the teachers know how to have a laugh whilst still doing the sport, rounders, athletics and netball bring my favourite. Amazing school, 100% recommend 👍

"Weydon School: A Home Away from Home!"

We've been blown away by the warmth and inclusivity of Weydon School! The staff are truly passionate about what they do, and the values of the school are reflected in every aspect of the school day. From the moment we walked in, we felt like part of the community. The facilities are top-notch, and our child is thriving in this supportive environment. We couldn't be happier with our choice!

"Weydon.. Outstanding? Please read..."

This institution is elitist, arrogant, uncaring, unapologetic and falls so far short of safeguarding any child that doesn't conform to the 'super school' brand.

Teaching staff are largely ineffective, inefficient and incapable of engaging fun, interactive learning. Ipads are used in place of genuine teaching.

The leadership staff might as well be politicians. If your child is anything other than unchallenging they are systematically off-rolled via exclusion, detentions - served for as little as not wearing a jumper on a 32° heat day after school and outside school gates.

The cohort sell, smoke and trade drugs like sweeties.

You are not valued, heard or seen in light of the hype that is the impressive setting.

Mental health, bullying, self harming and so much more is prevalent.

I'm appalled, disgusted and still waiting for response to the treatment of my daughter.

If your child is academic, conforming without question and without a backbone or character then you can expect a good GCSE outcome. If not, I implore you to not view the facilities with awe ... ask yourself who and what your child is, and consider somewhere, anywhere other than this business aka a school.

"I’d rather die than relive my time here…"

This place made me want to end my life, I was struggling for years here and the teachers did nothing, I have been bullied - including physical harm the teachers simply don’t care the food was extremely overpriced, not to mention the one time I tried one of the fruit pots they sell there it fizzed in my mouth. If you want your child to have a decent childhood you will not send them to this school, not only this but the needles around the school and the frequent drug use by students makes for an awful experience. The toilets for boys are covered in urine and there was never any toilet paper either.

"Scam school"

The staff at this school are all in on a scheme to try and make this appear to be a good school. It is not. They cover up everything bad at the expense of all the students there.
If you complain about anything - bullying, drug use, poor education, sexual misconduct, etc - they will try to bury it first, then they will try to threaten you to keep quiet by turning it into your fault and getting people to gang up on you.
This school without doubt destroyed my education. I arrived here from another county, had never taken drugs or had any sexual experiences.
To cut a long story short within a year I had been harassed everyday to take all different drugs and do all kinds of sex acts. Virtually everyone in that school has taken every substance and done every sex act by age 14. It was horrible, they know what goes on and they don’t even try. I got robbed lots of times as well.

"Awful school"

Horrendous school. Full of drugs, bad behaviour, poor discipline, violence, bullying, thefts, sexual intimidation, and worse.

The school touts themselves as however amazing by holding up their grades performances and that's it. The reality is it's only because they are on the better side of Farnham that they get people who are a bit more intelligent going there anyway. NOT because of any good teaching that is done there.

I was bullied constantly, and every time I reported it the staff just went looking for ways to make it MY fault. I later learned it's their strategy to shut people up and avoid them looking bad because they can't accept any incidents of bullying.

Out of my 12 teachers, I would only rate ONE of them as good. Six of them were appalling bullies, and the rest neither cared nor wanted to be there any more than I did.

My education was ruined because of this place, please, please, please do NOT be fooled by any of the ratings this place gets as the leagues table is heavily skewed.

"I highly don't recommend"

I really do not recommend. I have had so many bad experiences at this school which has lead to mental health issues. You get a detention for not doing well regardless if like me you have a lot of learning difficulties. Most of the counsellors where awful and try to make you leave regardless mental state, my counselor kept booking other people in my slot that was clearly booked for me, and a few years later refused to give me appointments because I was "fine" when 1. they didn't even check on me and 2. I had a big stage of depression and trauma. I was always being bullied, even in front of a teacher and they did literally nothing about it. In regards to uniform... god forbid you come in a coat that isn't black or blue or if you wear your kilt slightly above your knee, if you ask a teacher how they spotted it they will reply with "I didn't know where to look". I know multiple friends who have been sexually harassed whether it being verbal or physical. And oh boy... crime rates... underage sex, drugs, gangs... the drug issues this school has is horrifying, drugs getting dealt in hallways and people trying to deal them coming to school looking very beat up. We would be made to sit outside in freezing cold weather. if you have a learning disability you will get the label of "Keller Kid" yet to receive much help. My business teacher kept calling me out in front of my class to say how bad at the subject I was. all in all some teachers were absolutely lovely but otherwise I don't recommend

"Please don’t put your child through this"

Run. Run and never look back.

I am still recovering from the damage of this school has had. I had to go to therapy and I finally got over the personality disorder and depression this place gave me. I still have moments where I can’t socialise with people because I think part of my soul has died at this place. It’s where creativity and personality die. If you have a bright aspiring artist or bubbly child in your family. Please send them elsewhere. If this review helps even one child go to another school I will be forever grateful.

My confidence was totally shattered and I still struggle today. I am doing much better and finding my old self coming back each year but it’s always at the back of my mind what I went through for 5 years.

"Please, please do not send your child there"

I suffered my entire time throughout this school and not at any point did I get help. I was severely bullied (to the point where I was getting hit), being groped in the hallways and as a result of this and other factors I was incredibly suicidal. The only point that they would care about this is if I killed myself. They don’t care about anything except your grades and if you don’t do well with classes then instead of looking for ways to help you they just look at ways to bury you. I had a severe condition that made miss out on a important year of my GCSEs and I was suffering everyday. They wouldn’t let me go home as it would “effect their attendance records” even when it was told to them by my doctor that if my condition took too much of a toll on me like it did every day then I was to go home and rest and they could send me the work which they never did even on the days that I was off because it got so severe I couldn’t walk. My depression and anxiety worsened with everyday I was there and my mum was doing everything she could do for me outside of school but she needed help from them in school. I’m still suffering the damaging effects of that school almost two years down the line. I was supposed to have a written statement from them and my doctor to be sent to the examination board and yet even though my doctor completed it, the school didn’t send it off resulting in myself getting unfair GCSE results not reflecting on the fact that I missed arguably the most important year. Apart from the lack of caring about mental well-being and only caring about their grades, the school have one of the most severe drug problems I think possibly in the country. There was kids doing weed, coke, ketamine and smoking/drinking actually on the school grounds. I was incredibly lucky enough that I didn’t fall into the wrong crowd because there was and still is a lot more bad than good in that school. The police have had to come in on several occasions due to the drug issues and weapons that students have had on them. I remember sitting in a class and a student showing another a knife in their bag and the teacher couldn’t see. I was honestly petrified so I was quiet because I didn’t trust the school. Weydon school knows about the horrid school that they have become so much to the point that if you’re one of ‘the bad kids’ then the day Ofsted comes you go on a special trip to someone so they don’t see the bad. So many of the teacher there have a cold and heartless demeanour and I completely understand that teaching is a long and hard job but the things I’ve heard teachers say is inexcusable. Weydon school is a horrid place filled with evil and terror and I know that sounds dramatic but after experiencing it for 5 years, it honestly killed a part of me that I’ll never be able to get back.

"Mixed Experience"

We initially chose Weydon School for its excellent reputation and the opportunities it offers. While our child did excel academically, we felt that the school could improve in terms of communication and support for parents. The facilities are indeed impressive, but we found the pastoral care to be a bit inconsistent. Overall, it's been a mixed experience, but we appreciate the school's efforts to provide a high-quality education.
