"A place you can not escape"

i am a student at exmouth community college and i am asking anyone who wants to send there kids here to please not. a lot of the staff are horrible to students, and face no consequences even when they are reported. they care about attendance more than your mental wellbeing, my mental health has gone down rapidly since being in this school leading me to even attempt suicide. i have just been in an incident with a teacher who screamed at the people in my lesson and left 5 people including me crying, and then proceeded to pull students out of there lesson to cry and beg for there forgiveness along with trying to blackmail them. the teachers in charge of this school will always gang up and dismiss any reports or allegations made about a member of staff. bullying and fights are rife, and nothing is done about it. you can even get serious consequences because of what grade you hair is. if you hair is below a grade two you can be excluded etc. please do not send your kids here, save there innocence and wellbeing

"Like a zoo"

This shouldn't even be classed as a school, its more like a zoo.
I wouldnt be surprised if it wad called exmouth wildlife park with the state of the place.
Litter everywhere, minimal gsce options, BULLYING AND FIGHTS, unnecessary rules and sanctions.
If you're even just a little bit late to this prison u face chances of a large fine, cant take kids off school or you will get PROSECUTED.
Uncomfy school uniform so therefore not accompanying those with sensory issues or special needs.
NO mental health support and barely any assistant teachers to help those with learning difficulties.
First aid care more about the fees and reputation of you attending then if you literally cant walk or throwing up.
unqualified teachers who can't even do their job.
Atleast 5 fights in a single week, insane proportions taken just for an earring or ur tie not being exactly 6 stripes.
Too many kids to look out for,
Beyond me how this school isnt shut down.

"ECC is just too big"

As someone who went to ECC my opinion is that the school itself has a lot of good resources and activities. For example they have Latin and a really good Latin teacher and many sports activities, but because of it being such a big school there is a very big problem with bullying. There's lots of bigatory language used and lots of fights happen and there isn't much the teachers can do to stop it from happening. When I was there me and my friends suffered from a lot of harassment from other students. Also as a SEN student myself there isn't much to support children with difficulties learning. So I would suggest not sending your child.

"horrid school bad for mental health and staff are disgusting "

I hate this school with all my guts teachers are horrible and vile and don’t let u express your self in anyway. So easy to get negatives, detentions, RTLs, internals, etc but so incred Hard to get praise and positives. No teachers will care about u. Horrible orders who will pick on you and jump you. I highly don’t recommend sending ur child it will cause them mayhem and bad metal heath . This school it horrible and no one cares. All they care about is makeup, uniform, bad behaviour (wonder why) and skipping.

"the schl doesnt care"

i have been bullied mant times by many different ppl and have told many different adults in the schl and none of it has been sorted instead they punish ppl who are either completely unrelated or who are also being bullied by the same ppl whilst the students who are actually bullying me and others are getting away with it.

"Good Experience for My Child"

My child attended Exmouth Community College a few years ago, and I was pleased with the experience. The school's focus on academic achievement and character development was evident in my child's growth. However, I did feel that some classes could have been more engaging.
