Haberdashers' Boys' School

Haberdashers' Boys' School, founded in 1690 by a bequest from Robert Aske to the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, is a prestigious independent day school for boys located on a 104-acre green belt site at Butterfly Lane, Elstree, Hertfordshire. Originally established to educate the sons of poor freemen, the school has evolved into a selective all-through school educating around 1,200 boys aged 5 to 18. The school moved to its current Elstree site in 1961, having previously been located in Hoxton and Hampstead. It offers a broad curriculum with strong academic, artistic, musical, and sporting programs, supported by extensive facilities including modern classrooms, sports fields, and specialist teaching spaces.
