"THE WORST SCHOOL I EVER WENT!"

Now i used to go to this school until I changed to a different one, then moved to a different area, the teachers sucked, like one time I was too full to finish my food and after lunch break when my teacher asked if I finished I said no, and what does she do? Literally grab my fricking arm and shout at me infront of the whole class, WHAT DID I EVEN DO? By the way, the pizza tasted bad its like they used frozen pizzas from a store. If you want your child to have a good time at school, this isn't the place for you. 1 STAR!

"very understanding school"

I moved here in year 10, coming from an awful welsh school in ponty pool that had an insane problem with bullies. Perhaps its just my experience but I can confirm that this school has mended my damaged mental health. amazing education system and such great staff that you can befriend and learn from. the people are so kind and inclusive i have never once felt embarrassed or scared here, nor has my potential ever been doubted.
maybe its just my opinion, but when you've come from a school as bad as my old one; this one is incredible and has made me so happy.

"Ebbw Fawr honest review"

Atrocious school, more than half of the toilets are closed but conveniently opened when governors and Estyn are about to do observations. Quality of education is inadequate and not much is done to help students struggling with work and the classes aren't based on ability but how much the teachers like you. Lunch queues are horrendous for Year 9, 10 and 11 pupils because they all share the same lunch time last year during exams some students with ALN statements weren't offered Chromebooks in science exams even though someone asked to use one but was told "You haven't used one for the other science exam so you don't need one now" even though it wasn't offered to them in the other science exams. Last year a significant amount of teachers were off last year which has had a massive impact on pupils education which isn't helped inadequate supply teachers for the whole time. The school doesn't allow students to wear hoodies even though many teachers walk around in coats and wear them while teaching. Overall terrible school and wouldn't recommend sending your children here

"Ebbw fawr learning community "

Your child will hate it. If your child's getting bullied or anything the teachers won't listen and won't do anything about it. The adults (teachers) only care about themselves and trying to be the best school in Wales but that's where their wrong because then they don't listen to the students, they couldn't give 2 sh!ts about how your children feel. They allowed a teacher to carry on teaching after he had started at many girls chests and been a pedofile. The teachers don't teach properly they just give you the work and tell you to get on with it when you have no clue what it's about. They are too harsh on the children they make a mistake by accident and they'll shout at you and put you in detention when it only happened once so it was an accident even if it's not that big of a situation like you lost your pen once they'll put you in isolation for the rest of the day. The schools food is vile, it's green and not nice at all their pasta is always cold and hard. No one feels safe in the school, none of the students have anyone to talk to if they feel down or something's happened. They are extremely sexist. All the boys get football matches, rugby games ect all the time and if they lose or win they all get shouted out in assemblies whereas with the girls they get one game a year and no one gets told about it, it's like we're irrelevant. Also a teacher, man or woman, will come in and ask for '5 wrong boys' or summin to help them out, which is wrong, how comes the girls can't help you out their strong aswell they can help you? Also the boys hardly get in trouble for little things whereas if a girl does it they'll get told off. Boys are allowed to keep their pe kit on after pe during school but the girls HAVE to get changed, why's that? I honestly don't recommend sending your child to this school at all, I thought it was a good school but honestly all they care about is themselves and they need to grow up. If you want your child to learn, not suffer and be happy don't send them to this school send them to another one, please.

"Ebbw fawr primary "

The school is pretty good and helped me come out of my shell but the way they handle mean teachers isn't exactly the best. The students are kind but still some are rude. I got called a fag because I'm gay and another student said me and my friend were "friends with benefits" plus the incidents like a student breaking a teachers wedding ring , a child bringing a condom to school(a rumor but the kid said he did it) and a the same student brought a vape. But everything else is great ! The yards, plays, activities and such are very fun

"Very good school."

Good resources available, school didn’t have a very good reputation due to past head teachers but they handle bullying very well and teach you in a fun and informative way. Can sometimes be favourites but not with many teachers.

"Good school"

It was actually a good school. I have good experiences with the teachers, however there was some inequality when it came to teachers favouriting. The school has a bad image for bullying, but in my experience they handle it well and make the necessary punishments. The food is good, has some issues with the dinner ladies but overall it’s okay.

"Not great"

Overall, the school was okay. Although, there were numerous incidents at my time there. The handeling of bulling was very poor. Nor were some of the teacher great at teaching. There were a few incidents where by a students began to attack a teacher and few students. There was also another where a student from a different school ran into the school and began to distrupt teachers, security wasnt great. There were some good teachers, but also some bad. But the resources were great.
