About Tornedale Infant Academy

Tornedale is a community infant and nursery school for children aged 3 to 7 years. We currently have 152 children on roll, including 21 Nursery children. At Tornedale our shared vision is that of community, where everyone works together for the children.

"Excellent all round experience"

I'm so impressed with Tornedale Infant Academy. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, and the teachers are all so welcoming and supportive. My child loves the outdoor play area and the Forest School program is a great addition. We feel very lucky to be a part of this community.

"Love the inclusive atmosphere"

We've been at Tornedale for a year now and I'm really pleased with the way my child has settled in. The teachers are all so friendly and make an effort to get to know the children and their families. I also love the way the school prioritizes inclusion and diversity - it's great to see the children learning about different cultures and backgrounds.

"Mixed feelings about our time here"

We were at Tornedale for two years and it was a mixed experience. On the one hand, the teachers were all very supportive and our child did well academically. On the other hand, we felt that the school could have done more to engage with parents and involve us in decision-making. Overall, it was a decent experience but not outstanding.
