About Ysgol Plas Brondyffryn

Ysgol Plas Brondyffryn is the North Wales regional centre of excellence for teaching children on the autistic spectrum, located on Park Street in Denbigh. It serves pupils aged 3 to 19 with autism spectrum conditions and associated learning difficulties. The school provides a nurturing and supportive environment focused on helping pupils achieve their full potential, emphasizing close cooperation between home and school. The primary department, purpose-built and opened in 2006, caters to children aged 3-11 with 7 classes from Reception to Year 6, offering specialized facilities such as a Soft Play room, Immersive and Sensory rooms, and an adventure playground. The curriculum includes Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, with additional support like speech and language assistants, social skills development, bilingual support, and visual support materials.
