"can’t state a positive thing about this sad of an excuse school."

Wouldn't recommended sending any child here. The school capacity is 900 pupils yet they can't even handle 821. Even with the new extension they recently built, the school hallways are still small and cramped, making students feel unsafe when trying to walk down the hallways with barely any room because of everyone going in different directions, making it packed, especially for those who suffer with agoraphobia. The safeguard rules are barely updated. They prioritize good grades and attendance over mental heath and physical health. Speaking out for help feels like humiliation due to past experiences of them failing students mental health. There teaching style is depressing, like if their only working for money and not actually teaching, they claim every student has potential then proceeds to treat every student the same even if others need More support. The students they only acknowledge are the pupils that succeed on the academic side since they make the school look good on them. And the misbehaved students since they don’t want them to show them up. They have no idea how to handle bullying, the only advice they can give is to ignore the bullies, but what if it gets physical? You simply get criticized for standing up for yourself. They can’t handle bigger problems, and even if they do come across bigger problems the only have the sheer gall to tell you if you want to move schools instead of facing the problem and fixing it right there and now. The school trips are ridiculously expensive and not worth it. The staffs are even worse. Some of them make sarcastic jokes if you get one question wrong whether it’s on a exam or paper, which leads to low self esteem and humiliation. Making students only shut down on them selves and work hard to reach perfectionism, even if there is no perfect. They make hard work look good even if it means burning out just to reach a certain grade boundary.

"Homework"

There is too much homework now we have to do 50 minutes a week for multiple assignments in total about 2 hours and 30 minutes, if this is not completed we get strict punishments, and students have no freedom at all.

"DON’T SEND YOUR KIDS HERE"

Bullying is an absolute joke at that school. Kids threatening others with knives waiting after school to jump other pupils. What does school do?? Nothing. They get annoyed when I remove my child 5 minutes before end of school for her own safety. Many times I have kept her home to learn because of this. If she wasn’t close to finishing school I would be pulling her. I could write so much more but what’s the point they won’t change for a while

"Best school ever!"

I'm so happy we chose St John Fisher for our daughter. The staff are lovely and the school values really shine through in everything they do. We love the after-school clubs and the HAF program over the holidays - it's been a lifesaver!

"Some mixed feelings"

We've been quite happy with St John Fisher overall, but there have been a few issues with communication between teachers and parents. We love the Fisher Fest event and the school's commitment to inclusivity, but we feel there's more work to be done on parent engagement.

"Excellent education and care"

My son attended St John Fisher from Reception to Year 6 and we couldn't be happier with the education and care he received. The school's commitment to Catholic values and community is truly impressive. We've recommended it to all our friends!

"Cannot use the bathroom"

The headteacher is overbearing and rude. There are 5 toilet cubicles available for each entire population of each gender at the school and you are restricted from using them during lesson, even at break, the queue goes halfway around the school.

"Terrible."

this school has almost no pastoral help for children struggling at home and within school. The staff have no idea how to handle bullying and for the majority of my school experience I have been taught by supply teachers who have little to no understanding of the subject they are supposed to be teaching. The food is awful (has made me and many of my friends ill) and is ridiculously overpriced. Really wouldn't recommend sending your children to this sad excuse of a school

"Worst school"

tecahers are racist,do not care for mental health, ignore bullying, keep phones overnight (should not be allowed for emergency purposes) they presume they have the right to grab us so we dont walk out of school, unfair punishment system, teachers only care for the pay and not about kids, half of my years here was mainly supplys teaching me, supply teachers had no idea what to do and werent even qualified in what they were teaching, very poor quality, children are made to carry bins around during their time to eat for peircings meaning they do not have time to eat.

"Worst school in lancashire "

I go to this school, dont send your kids here, teachers are racist, dont care about mental health, let bullying happen, force us to tell them whats upsetting us even if we dont want to, rude to the children, not safe at all, teachers are threatening and dont care for the kids, the education is terrible, if a child finishes their work 15 mins early they have to sit and wait for the others, theres people in sets they shouldnt be in as there are people more capable in lower sets, the whole school is overall rubbish.

"DONT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE"

please don’t send your kids here, they handle nothing right, sometimes even put the good kids who were the ones bullied in detentions, they don’t listen to mental health, they don’t stop chavy girls from wearing too much makeup, but one girl wears a bit of lip balm or mascara and it’s like the worlds ended, teachers are rude, and so are the pastoral/student services team, glad I moved my daughter shes much happier now

I just left the school and for most of my time, for nearly every subject I had supply teachers. The many students are disrespectful
