"Disgusting school."
Awful school. Most kids and parents will think it’s an amazing school for kids but in my opinion it’s absolutely disgusting. The teachers in that school don’t give a single care for the children’s well being as well as mental health. My daughter has been bullied since primary school and she thought high school would be different. happier. safer. but no. it only got worse as she attended this school. Years it went on and she bottled it all up. Until one day she finally got the courage to speak to a teacher. The teacher replied with “I don’t care. You have had your lunch, i haven’t, go away.”😡 My daughter then got a feeling she couldn’t talk to an adult about how she feels. I went down to the school to complain and they did nothing about the bullying. So i sent her to a different school. she’s doing amazing now.

"Under Staffed Unsupportive School that needs improving"
My child has just completed her exams and now finished at the school and I have to say it was a big mistake sending her there if only I'd have known. Some of the staff there are OK but the leadership at the school are appalling. You can't speak to anyone with authority and they are not supportive if you have any questions or concerns. I got the impression they don't care about their pupils unless they are high achievers. I have suffered stress sending my child here. It need improving for a reason. My child has had years of substitute teachers with a school that's over crowded which will only get worse with the new local housing developments coming soon in Coppull. I only hope she will achieve some grades but they certainly havnt brought the best out of my child and knocked her confidence.

"Disrespectful school kids."
A bunch of Southlands pupils were walking behind my husband on Astley Park he is in his late 70's and disabled and walks with a stick. They were very abusive making snide comments about the fact he still had his Poppy on his coat they were very disrespectful about his age etc. They walked away laughing and swearing their general language was terrible and a poor reflectionon your school. These kids were 12/14 yrs maybe something should be announced in your Assembly to let them know we 'oldies' have feelings how would they feel if their Grandparents were abused by idiot school kids. Does your school want a reputation of having horrible pupils like these as they represent your school outside school hours as well.

"AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE"
I feel the above rating is not entirely honest as this ‘school’ is beyond awful. The professionals will tell you want you want to hear then leave your child to their own devices, literally. If your child has SEN they will receive ZERO support, mark my words, then, when child completely withdraws from learning a group of unqualified, uneducated ‘adults’ will suggest the problems lie at home. Prepare for a culture of manipulation, dishonesty and utter chaos. The place is bedlam. Three head of year changes within 4 months. Lost children in school. Safeguarding I’m not convinced anyone has had training on - if they have it did NOT digest in those heads. Please if you have any sense no matter how desperate you are refrain from submitting to the temptation of letting your child be a part of this useless, toxic environment. Which reminds me, the place is also absolutely filthy. Vile.

this school is absolutely terrible i would not recommend coming here at all for your own sake the teachers are bullies and do not care for students wellbeing despite me having severe adhd i was bullied for 3 months and mum had to go to police to fix it sonce they wouldnt do anything this school drains me and pushes me over the edge .they blame me for kicking off when they constantly pick on me for everything i do DO NOT COME HERE PLEASE I BEG

"Good School but Needs Improvement in Some Areas"
I'm generally happy with Southlands High School, but I do think there are some areas that need improvement. My daughter loves the school and the staff are friendly, but I feel like the school could do more to engage with parents and provide more information about what's going on. Also, the uniform policy is a bit restrictive and I wish they could be more flexible.

"A disgrace "
Terrible school
its full of racism and homophobia and is just plain awful
every day i go in and see kids doing nazi salutes it is an absolute shithole i get bullied and made fun of just because i look different and its worsening my mental health and making me hate myself.
And the school does not care of the wellbeing of students and just want their money my friend is having a very bad time here and all i can do is just watch as he feels worse and worse about it.
So never bring your child here unless you hate them or want them to have problems in the future

"Amazing School with Lovely Staff"
I'm so impressed with Southlands High School. My daughter loves going to school and the staff are always so friendly and supportive. The facilities are excellent too - my daughter's always raving about the drama club and the school trips. I think the values of the school really shine through, especially with the emphasis on personal development and enrichment programs.

"Awful got bullied every day and no teacher did anything at all"
Hated every single moment I was in that school never got helped with mental health and the bullying was atrocious and still is, the kids attack teachers and still nothing gets done, kids have come in with knives and they didn’t do anything

"Don’t recommend "
Most teachers are horrible and need to get a grip, Doesn’t deal well with bullying, bad kids etc. Vaping/smoking in school doesn’t get dealt with. Kids get detentions for nothing and teachers then complain about how many detentions there are. Weird rules that get added every month. There is some good things about it such as cool facilities big areas/separate areas for different years. I don’t think it’s an amazing school as there are way better ones around, don’t recommend to people thinking about going there.

"Excellent Education and Opportunities"
My son had an amazing time at Southlands High School and I attribute his success to the excellent education and opportunities provided by the school. The curriculum is engaging and challenging, and the enrichment programs are fantastic. I'm so grateful for the experiences he had, especially the school trip to watch the England vs New Zealand Netball game and the film festival with the National Theatre.

"Southlands"
One teacher stated that he doesn’t get paid enough to deal with a kid who has severe adhd , the same boy is also not aloud in the school if he’s not on his medication which is disgusting when I went to the school (I suffer with depression and social anxiety and autism) they did nothing to help me and the teacher where so horrible I was just (a naughty kid to them),I missed 3 years and more of school because they wasn’t willing to help me and I was sent home having panic attacks mostly everyday to the point it was making me ill and didn’t want to be here anymore

"Traumatic "
I have major amounts of trauma from attending this school. All verified by a counsellor. I'm still dealing with what happened to me 5 years ago. Mental and physical abuse by the staff. Nearly ended my life at this school. Allow your kids to go anywhere but here. Many things happened at that school that pushed me to the edge. I have anxiety issues and depression problems that all go back to this school. I struggled to get a job and even function properly a few years after the school. Now in recovery. This school was hell on earth.

It’s a great school and helps with personal and educational development and has a great facility witch includes area/corse specific teachers and welcoming and understanding SLT staff, as well as an amazing study support team witch includes a school councillor and nurse.
