"Please don’t send children here!"

Please do not send your child here I started in year 7 in 2021 and dropped out in the beginning of year 9 this school does not deal with giving people consequences even if they’re a teacher or student, a male DT teacher assaulted me and had numerous other reports and he never got a single consequence, the bullying is on a new level here and no one ever gets told to stop, there’s drugs, alcohol, knifes etc all over this school. They don’t care about mental health in the slightest they would constantly tell me that me being depressed was a “trend” and told me to get over it. They tried forcing me to join the army even though I expressed I had no intention on joining. They constantly accused me of stuff that never happened and even after seeing camera evidence still thought I was lying. Please please please! Do not send your children here, you do not know how dangerous this place is in general and for their mental health!

"The school is absolutely impeccable"

Many of these negative comments are by younger students who are either 1) are bored and think this is funny, or 2) are overgeneralising their personal experiences onto the rest of the school.

I admittedly left a similar comment years ago when I was younger. However, sixth form at this school has genuinely been the best time of my life - the staff are some of the kindest and most supportive people you will ever meet, and the educational standards are excellent (40% of University applicants go to a Russell Group, compared to 1/10 nationally). Teachers go above and beyond to provide opportunities for further reading and deeper learning, which makes school incredibly fun to attend.

The school has an amazing sense of community, and has changed a lot within the past year, which is a credit to all the staff and students who have made this possible through their work ethic, kindness, and creativity.

I know that I definitely wouldn’t be who I am if I didn’t come to this school, and I am very grateful for the way it has shaped me.

Thank you, Campden.

"Perfect school"

The world as we know it is, frankly, a spluggle. We're constantly bombarded with pronouncements, pronouncements predicated on something, somewhere, having been deemed "important." But what is important? Is it the existential plight of the left sock, forever separated from its partner in the dryer's swirling vortex of fabric lint? Or is it the proper application of buttonology, the ancient art of aligning buttons according to the principles of harmonic convergence?

Let's delve deeper. Consider the humble marmalade. Its citrusy tang, its bitter-sweet dance upon the palate, it's a microcosm of the universe itself! But what if the universe prefers strawberry jam? Are we, as humans, imposing our marmalade-based biases onto the cosmos? This is a question that keeps renowned theoretical physicists up at night, weeping softly into their calculators.

Furthermore, the implications of sentient toasters cannot be ignored. They observe us, silently judging our breakfast choices, meticulously calculating the precise browning level required to achieve optimal carbohydrate-based satisfaction. They hold secrets, dangerous secrets, about the very fabric of reality, secrets whispered only through the hum of their heating elements.

And what of ducks? Are they merely waterfowl, paddling placidly on ponds, or are they, in fact, interdimensional beings, tasked with maintaining the delicate balance between the Real World™ and the Realm of Fuzzy Logic? The answer, my friends, is almost certainly beige.

So, we are left with this: A swirling, chaotic mess of marmalade, buttons, socks, toasters, ducks, and a creeping sense that perhaps we're all just characters in a poorly written simulation run on a Commodore 64 powered by existential dread. Embrace the absurdity. Question the meaninglessness. And always remember to check your socks before drying them. The fate of the universe may depend on it.

Yeah, it’s alright. The toilets didn’t have seats for a while and I don’t trust pastoral (or most members of SLT), but over all it’s a pretty good school. I would recommend

"dont go to chipping campden school"

i started at this school in year seven and left in year ten after traumatic experiences with a teacher i struggled for 3 years and am still healing from what i went through at this school. this school is sexist and disgusting, the teachers treat theyre students like theyre nothing and would rather us mentally suffer than forget a tie. please do not send your kids here they deserve better. I wasnt safe in this school and neither were my friends when i think about the feeling i had walking down the halls it makes me sick that a "school" can make so many families believe in them and hide this reality from everyone but the students.

"please read before sending your child here"

Couldn’t rate this school any worse.
the worst things imaginable could happen to your child in this school with no consequences whatsoever, i’m talking knifes in students bags, sexual assault, verbal assault, physical assault, the list goes on. The most the school will do is put an exclusion in place, wich most students would take as a reward. The victim will receive no help or support whatsoever and the school question why students will drop out so fast. Needs to change.

"Awareness"

This school caused many issues for many students causing them to have poor mental health, some teachers are supportive most aren’t this is an issue because kids and older pupils need help and support for most things. They’ve kicked multiple pupils out for petty reasons as such skipping class, not just that they’ve made it so you can no longer have mobiles during school hours if you get of the bus with it , they get removed which is very stupid , i wouldn’t recommend sending you’re children here you will regret it.

"The worst school ever"

the teachers do not care about the students mental health. They do not treat students equally and will hold a student responsible for something that they haven’t done just because they don’t like the student. it’s a shit school and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here. if I could give it a 0 I would. It’s funny of people who bully each other and hurt each other. and they wonder why so many people leave the school.

"leave when you can."

this school don’t treat students eqaully and they usually put the blame on someone pretty fast. Constantly SLT calm outs even if they’ve done nothing wrong it’s full of horribke people , bullies , crackheads , and nic addicts. Most students want out they need to improve how they treat their students instead of being rude , the only good teachers i’ve found here are mr walker , mr clarkson and that’s about it they don’t care about you’re mental health and wellbeing leave when you can.

"wouldn't go if it was the last place "

avarage school with little common sense the male teachers looks at girls skirts and tell them to to put it to knee hight also the food is discussing and not worth the price like 5 pound for a chicken burger you may as well go to Tesco and get a meal deal sando is leaving and the teachers can't handle the students the teachers have less common sense than a barn door
and the teachers are absolute wankers.
apart from one TA that's helps you

"Good school but traumatising experience"

The school itself was good but my experience there was beyond awful. My last day there I sold my blazer and ripped up my yearbook. I'll keep the art and history books because those were interesting to me but the rest I will BURN. I tried to off myself multiple times while attending there and the school nurse called me "silly". The Hive (AKA Student Support Centre) was THE single worst place for refuge. The woman who worked at the desk a lot of the time was SO inconsiderate to pupils' needs (especially since a lot of those who went there had mental health difficulties) and my mum agrees she should be fired. She's awful.

Also I REALLY wanted to play rugby in PE but I wasn't allowed because I'm a girl. I asked a few male friends and they all said they wanted to do trampolining in PE. What is it with those awful sexist rules? Do better.

"Great But Room for improvement!"

This school is great and the ofsted rating definitely fits it, But there are issues with inclusivity and language, LGBT and Gender Identity is not recognized this issue is changing though. Depending on teachers some are REALLY passionate about there job and students but some don't really care. There are sexist teaches idolizing Females or Males depending on the teacher but this issue is slowly changing. Yes there are teachers who should learn about probably retake the inclusivity course. So if that's something that's important to you then maybe come have a look see how its by booking a visit if you don't care then this school is amazing and will be very beneficial to the students education. the pastoral is amazing and can and is appropriately trained in helping with mental health, This is something that In my opinion a school should make sure is to the best it can as the students mental heath takes a massive toll on there learning depending on its state. Just remember like all school there is bulling BUT this is minimal and is most bullying that was happening before they came to chipping campden school.

"get out "

This school is a shithole , one of the teachers is a creep who talks about his daughter and other girls "blossoming" . There is no equality within the school, the teachers are as a majority completely incompetent, with the exception of North block . Overall the pastoral team have less combined brain cells then a barn door and then finally unless you fit a certain demographic (mute , female and timid) the school couldn't care less about you . In fact many would argue that some teachers would rather see you fail than succeed , for many the job seems more like a pay check then a mission.
Many students have been told that they would fail there exams or end up on the street as a nicotine addict. To conclude this school is far from "outstanding" and I would advise you to push your child towards grammar school or cotswolds because they see far greater results than ccs .

"Very bad"

Very few of the staff are good and the rest of them are intolerable. It is astonishing how some of them are even qualified to teach, they only seem to be interested in shouting at us for the entire lesson.

Bullying is constant and instead of doing anything about it, the pastoral team hassle you with uniform cards (3 strikes and you are forced to do litter picking).

Furthermore, this school’s culture of bullying, especially to those with special needs/difficulties (and for being different in general), is absolutely sickening and humiliating. The lack of knowledge and empathy of SEN is concerning and quite scary. Students that are favoured by the ‘hive’ staff can get away with just about anything, yet someone else with the same difficulties is expected to survive without proper support, and are told nothing is wrong with them.

No wonder everyone’s mental is suffering nowadays. If this is how extra support is dealt with, I can’t imagine what the average student can access in terms of help at this school, it’s insane!

The iPad scheme had good intentions but the lack of accessibility and privacy highly discourages using them. Such technology could be used so well, but instead we are catching moths on a website in biology… this definitely raised the mark! (not)

Other reviews point out: the cameras, the cardboard G block, the kitchen nightmares film set, dumb rules, (etc). One thing I haven’t seen mentioned is the conditions of the toilets, there is food inside cubicles, revolting graffiti and tampons covered in pasta… need I say anything more.

I can honestly say my time at this school was the worst thing I’ve been through thus far, and my life has barely began. They absolutely wreck your confidence, rot your brain and destroy any positive beliefs you might have had about the world before you take a step into adulthood. I consider myself extremely lucky to be free of their indoctrination but others may not have the opportunity to free themselves.

There are plenty more things I could say about this institution, and anyone who has had a similar experience should also speak up, otherwise there is no hope at all. This school has truly gone to the dogs and it is sad to see the history demolished by the new system.

No idea how OFSTED gave this place an outstanding review, it needs some serious looking into and should be examined thoroughly.

"Year 9 going in to year 10"

The outstanding oftsted review on this school is a lie. It's not major things but little things that add up. For starters there are cameras that are continuously monitored which sounds great but there has been picture proof shown of the teacher monitoring the girls toilet is male which is extremely uncomforting. The food is disgusting, I have had to stop eating anything the school has made for it has made me I'll on a number of occasions. Teachers frequently look up girls skirts stating that the length is inappropriate however it is entirely inappropriate go be looking anywhere private. A recent rule involves uniform cards, that are rediculous because any teacher can sign them. This has resulted in many litter-pickings that overall don't even involve the uniform but the card itself. In my experience, a child will gain a litterpickng if not handing in the card after a two week period regardless to why, if it was lost, taken, destroyed, or not even given becaus the child was off school, they will receive a litter picking. Another problem with skirts is the many stories of sa that I have heard from my friends when it has come to skirt lengths, even though the mojority are verbal it still shouldn't be happening. In my experience, I have to tie my skirt with a hair tie to make it fit my waist. My teacher claimed that my skirt was rolled, when it was not, and proceeded to put her hand down the waist of my skirt and try to unroll it making me extremely uncomfortable. This has happened on multiple occasions, I now basically run out of that classroom to avoid this. Favouritism is extremely pronounced in the school from rewards to opportunities to go on a school trip. The pe department are barely qualified. I have only ever seen two of the pe teachers actually play a sport and be good at it. I have been playing netball in my pe lessons for 4 years and I can't te you any of the rules even though I try my hardest to pay attention. The pe department office is also situated by the girls changing rooms with a door connected to the changing rooms, I have only ever seen that door closed a few times at my time being at this school. A student that I know is involved in the dance department which runs after school for GCSE classes. On one occasion a MALE pe teacher proceeded to walk into the girls changing rooms to put equipment away while there were girls changing. This was looked over and accepted as though it never even happend. The mojority of the language teachers are appalling, one barely even speaks English. According to past students, one teacher was only hired because they couldn't get anyone else. Alot of the school is practically falling apart. Regardless to the fact it is an older building in just central block, the newer areas of the school are in some horrible conditions. Broken ceilings, carpet missing, chairs falling apart. Me and my friends have even spotted nice around the school, not just in the outdoor areas. There is pretty pronounced sexism throughout teachers. One teacher only giving praise to the male gender, another when boys swearing letting it off but if a girl swears they are shouted at. Some teachers target girls for their skirts while others shout at only boys for uniform issues. A teacher at the school was presumably thought fired from his job to them return multiple times. This teacher had thrown multiple objects at students, some people even claim he threw a chair at someone. Other students have said this teacher will drop pens and force girls to pick it up for him to look under their skirt. Someone I am close with had their skirt pulled down by this teacher while they were sitting down. In one of my past lessons with this teacher he didn't know anything in the curriculum and made a student teach it. This teacher is teaching subjects he's not qualified for. The school is more worried about grades than student mental health. The pastoral team will pick students to help that issues wouldn't be a burden to them alot of the time. I have family issues which my mum spoke to the school about in which they claimed to be going to speak to me about which they never proceeded to do. A student was accused that they were lying about someone in their family being in hospital to try and get out of tests. However someone who has friend problems that are gone in a day are prioritised. This is just a small amount of things that should question the outstanding review.

"A scam of a school"

Doesn't take mental health issues seriously, pathetic uniform policy, cameras in toilets, an unwelcoming community, dirty classrooms and toilets, unhealthy and little variety in food served, g block is practically a caravan, unreasonable punishments, bullying is not dealt with properly, limits students in p.e based on their gender. Shocking that this school got an 'outstanding' from ofsted

"terrible school"

this school is terrible i had such a bad experience of terrible bullying from other students, not to mention the cameras in the toilets. no heating in central block in most of the maths classroooms. no options for vegetarians barely in the canteen and everything is very unhealthy. when i was there i was terrified of certain teachers and i struggled really badly with mental health problems and i got a time out card but my geography teacher didn’t allow me to use it which isn’t fair. they only care about grades nothing else. terrible care for there rabbit it doesn’t even get hay they call the straw hay and it doesn’t get vegetables and the hamsters cage is too small and the snakes cage isn’t very enriched. they don’t allow people on phones and will take them even if you are texting parents about something important. uniform cards to make the school/pupils smarter when in reality it’s just to make the kids do litter pickings. the schools nurses are terrible wont send u home unless you have been sick. no kids are aloud to toilet in lessons not even girls on there periods. headteacher made a ban on ripped jeans on non school uniform. so many covid cases because the school is grubby. broken lights in toilets. pe teachers not allowing me to get changed in the toilet even though it’s just for a pe top because it’s not fair on other girls apparantly and then made me get changed infront of them and i was extremely uncomfortable. always looking at skirts. boys can’t wear white socks which is stupid. overall a bad school.

Everything was negative. Pastoral hive rubbish. Only care about grades and their "outstanding" ofsted reputation which they got from putting an act on. A truly traumatising experience :( Ofsted should really review the school again but due to it having the outstanding mark, this won't happen, unfortunately.
Side note: The school is very dirty and the Covid cases are scarily high.

i struggle so much in school and considering the amount of time i’ve been here i’ve received no help. the hive staff always treat me like a burden and talk about me when i’m clearly right in front of them. even when teachers are made aware that i struggle with certain things they act as if it’s all my fault and i’m just lazy. clearly only a few teachers actually care about children’s mental health because the rest act as if we’re too young to have one. the councilling scheme is terrible and i’ve already waited over three years to get one appointment. teachers also completely ignore homophobia and i have seen many teachers witness it and either ignore it or treat the bullied child even worse. overall a school that doesn’t give a damn about its students

Worst secondary school ever. God knows how they achieved an outstanding review from ofsted, must’ve used blackmail of some sort. Only reason I went there was to get language gcse results, but the languages department is sh!t, one of the Spanish teachers doesn’t even speak English and it’s so difficult to try and figure out what she’s saying. The amount of terrible teachers they have somehow employed is horrifying and the amount of supplies that shouldn’t even be allowed near children is disgusting. They claim the ipads are there to help students but in school you can’t use them for anything as they restrict so much that could help students to trust them, the IT department is terrible too they do nothing to help if you have any issues with the devices they have provided. The bathrooms are disgusting not at all well maintained, like a prison toilet, everything made of a tin or cheap plastic, and the girls is watched over by cctv by male teachers! Horrifying when year 10 boys catch a male teacher watching over girls in the toilets breaching all security procedures and rights that should be in place. DO NOT EVER SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!
