"Bad School"

Worked here for a couple of months got treated poorly. Paying over 10 Quid a day for terrible food. Don't come here as a student or an adult.

"Please don’t go here!"

If you’re thinking of moving your child here please don’t.

This school fosters an unhealthy and unsafe environment for students. Discrimination is present, with sexist, racist, and biased attitudes influencing how students are treated. The education system is poorly organised, and many teachers appear unable to manage classrooms effectively, allowing bullying to become a serious and ongoing problem not only that but due to the bullying and lack of control the students don’t learn anything.

Hygiene standards are unacceptable, and the food provided is both overpriced and of poor quality. Rather than focusing on students’ well-being and academic progress, teachers often prioritise enforcing minor uniform rules — such as hair accessories — over addressing mental health concerns or genuine struggles.

Overall, this school fails to provide a supportive or effective learning environment. In my experience, it drains students’ motivation, joy, and willingness to learn. I would not recommend enrolling a child here.

"I advise you not to go to CFS"

Worst school ever i am still in this school and i'm in yr 7 and want to be pulled out because of all the bullying and the children vaping in the toilets. I've had my wrist, leg
and my arm hurt in just a few months and if you wear a bit of jewellery it gets taken away (ms Scriven) and sometimes doesn't get given back. The school doesn't care about the children well fair and there are adults out in the playground and when fights happen they just ignore it. So I advise you not to go to CFS

"Bullying and jaded teachers"

School has serious bullying issues, teachers are not interested because they bully as much, they use sanctions as revenge rather than punishment, they only worry about ofted reports. Teachers speak to adults and children with distaste. Drugs and alcohol often in school. Extortionate prices for vile food. Make children exchange a shoe (yes a shoe) for whole lesson for a pen if they have forgotten theirs. Humiliation is their go to in all instances.
Never had a problem with any other schools prior to this one. Infact had very good relationships with previous schools

"Happy place where kindness is valued."

My 2 children have been through primary and are now in secondary. They are very different children but both really happy and doing well academically. The clubs, careers and pastoral support are fantastic. A lovely community, family feel.

"worst school."

foods so expensive, spending over £5 A DAY just for inedible and burnt food.

school treats you differently if u have a disability/ learning disorder/ health issues etc and don’t act about bullying.

they care more about uniform than mental/ physical health.

a girl gives me dirty looks and sass almost everyday but because she’s autistic i’m not aloud to say anything to her. why am i the one getting screamed at by multiple teachers for asking her if she has a problem with me? ik it sounds harsh but autism isn’t an excuse for her to be rude and get away with it.

teachers have told my mum they will make a plan for me because i have dyslexia and struggle with work/ focusing but nothing has been done and completely lied to my mum.

"worse school in the uk."

if ur thinking abt moving to this school, don’t.

if you have a learning disability, illness, adhd, autism, anxiety, tourettes etc they treat you differently and you get in trouble (iso, suspended, screamed at by multiple teachers).

most teachers are leaving and we have so many supply’s, you barely learn anything and the students say nasty things. most people tell u to kill urself at this school and if u say something back to them, the school will tell u off and not the other kid? it makes no sense.

so many kids here are depressed and want to move schools it’s got an unfair system and uniform rules are so dumb, blazers and ties must be worn at all times even though other kids steal them?

so many kids/ teachers steal ur personal items and uniform, my trainers got stolen by a kid and my bracelet was took off me by a teacher (miss scriven) last year and i never got it back? and they smash the locks of your locker and u won’t get the stuff back after.

they care more about uniform than mental/ physical health. u can’t leave school early (a kid got dragged onto the ground by his classmate and broke his foot a few months ago and wasn’t aloud home because they accused him of lying)

teachers will physically push/ drag you to lessons even if your having a panic attack and treat you differently. male teachers look into the girls toilets and claim “it’s not weird because there a teacher” but it is weird.

the food so expensive and it’s always burnt, inedible (literally cannot bite into it), no vegetarian/ vegan options and tastes vile. you couldn’t pay me to eat it,

the teachers tell your parents “we will support your child” etc and give you a plan to help you in school to impress parents but won’t do it and refuse to help you.

literal mould on some of the walls and the toilets are vile. disgusting inside the building.

i could name so many more reasons not to come to chichester free school but i’ll stop here because i’ve already listed a lot

if i could rate it 0 i would.

"Chichester Free School"

My daughter is in year 11 and has had every bit of enthusiasm and joy stripped from her by a selection of teachers at the school over the past 5 years. With only a month to go I have no words at the way she is treated. For the record she is not a problem child and her attendance has been good but she literally cries at the thought of having to go in each day. They seriously need to look at their teachers behaviours towards children and how their actions are affecting the mental health of the students. Very angry and desperate to get her out of there.

"A fantastic school with a caring atmosphere"

I'm so impressed with the facilities and the values that Chichester Free School promotes. My child has thrived in the supportive and inclusive environment, and the opportunities they've had in the arts and sports have been amazing. We feel very fortunate to be a part of this school community.

"Bad school, ruins ur life"

all they care about if you tuck in your shirt and if you're not wearing school shoes and your wearing air forces cos ur school shoes broke. Most but not all of the teacher are terrible. It's pathetic they don't give af about mental health and the school is very toxic. It's gated and literally feels like a prison. All the pastoral team but one pic on me but no one else all the time about things that aren't rules. It ain't even about learning, you don't learn anything it's just about making the school look good. everyone in my year (year 11) is gonna fail their gcse's cos of this toxic school anyway. This school has done nothing but worsen my metal health and make me feel bad.

"A good school with some areas for improvement"

We've been happy with Chichester Free School overall, but there have been some issues with communication and organization. My child enjoys the classes and the teachers, but I feel that the school could do more to engage with parents and keep us informed about what's going on. That being said, we're glad we made the choice to send our child here.

"Not well with bullying"

Not very good at tackling bullying (it's also a secondary school aswell as a primary school)
I was bullied and they didn't do anything about it because the bully was autistic. I strongly support and care about the autistic community but you can't use it as an excuse to bully.

"Excellent education and wonderful memories"

I have two children who attended Chichester Free School, and I couldn't be more pleased with the education they received. The school's focus on nurturing and challenging its students really paid off, as both my children achieved excellent grades and developed a love of learning that has stayed with them. We have many happy memories of their time at CFS.
