"Dreadful school"

This school is terrible if you can dont send your child here!! Especially if the hace ALN. The teachers aren't trained fully and even if they are trained they don't put their training in practise and see Aln as fake and bad behaviour. The acting head currently is dreadful. Only thinks about himself and loves sticking his nose into business he doesn't need to worry about
By taking away support that kept pupils sane
Excluding pupils for wearing coats and not sitting on chair properly
School don't take complaints serious enough even though they are.
Bullying wpnt get sorted they blame it on easy target which is always the victim of the harassment.
There are some lovely teachers though. History teacher, RE teacher, The TAs are amazing and learning mentors they make life easier but ur still better off homeschooling then sending them here

"Good School"

So some of the comments I have read are clearly from bad behaved students that are trying to get the school in trouble BUT the old head mistress was horrible but has now changed to a kinder headmaster who is acting as a head for the year until our new headmaster is ready to come and he is brilliant he went to my old school and you can’t get better he’s passionate about the country he’s passionate about sports he’s passionate about making everyone included and he will stop at nothing to make sure there is NO bullying a review about food was made and that could not be less false the food is really nice it’s so nice that the line is HUGE but that is a problem overall the schools your average school you have some strict teachers LOADS of kind teachers and we do so much things including the YUA Eisteddfod Christmas show and much more so yeah the schools great

"Disgusting food"

The school food is so bad I would rather eat from the bins of Tesco than the industrial slop you feed those students

"School sucks"

This school is dreadful, I'm in the older years here. Some teachers are really nice and they caree about you. But most teachers are so bad. Their teaching is ok. But their personality and how they act is really bad. they start screaming for no reason even if you were having a panic attack
If you report something they take ages to sort it out. And probably won't sort it out. I kept asking but nothing has happened and that really stresses me out.
They act all good with each other and then they threaten kids with exclusion which is not acceptable.
I mean some lessons are really good and interesting like history and Re.(took them as gcse) Those teachers are incredible and I couldn't ask for any better teachers.
But no the food here is not great either, the bread is stake and the food is a bit cold and flavourless.
Everyone would agree with this if they have been to this school
I might be moving cause no one can stay here, and I've just about made it to year 10

"Unsafe"

This school does not care for its students even when someone has reported the same person more then once. I at one point did not feel safe going to school and the teachers did not help even after several reports on the same person

"So YUA"

OK. Bullying is not handled well in the slightest I'll be honest. But some teachers are lovely and will help students and others are not. The food is amazing though.

"Okay teaching, bad management. "

Mental health services were poor, with nothing being done about complaints sent. Students who were achieving higher grades were valued higher with trips and fun activities whereas lower classes were left. Teachers were nice but even after a strike involving most teachers the council found no evidence of their complaints and no action was taken. The physical education was low quality for both genders and the PE teachers were rude towards students who could not participate or were not mentally well enough. A receptionist was known among teachers and students as being incredibly rude towards both and no action was taken.
Rather than educating students thoroughly on the dangers of energy drinks they instead had someone speak for an hour in the hall and then searched bags.
Bullying was handled reasonably well mostly however there were some cases where bullying was handled poorly.
Positively transgender students were treated fairly.
Occasionally there were rumours of nails and hair being found in food in the cafeteria.
Sports were good however were treated as being more important than other core subjects.
