"Treated badly but a lot of opportunities"

There are a few reasons why I was so happy to leave this school.

1: How the teachers treat the pupils is genuinely disgusting. I have ASD and I only got the diagnosis when I was in Year 7 and, in Year 4, I overstimulated. Instead of letting me cool down for a few minutes outside, letting me sit out for once etc. she took me outside and proceeded to get mad at me for something I couldn't control.

2: What pupils are told is considered inappropriate. Someone even says the word "gay", teacher would go berserk. If it was used in a homophobic way then the teacher would ignore it. This wasn't just one teacher either.

3: "The Den" does the opposite of what it's supposed to do. The Den is Twyn's equivalent to like a mental health spot. The staff member in there treated it like a business meeting and I couldn't open up in there because of that very reason.

However, it wasn't a terrible place. The clubs were fun and actually taught pupils valuable leadership skills. I also made some lifelong friends.

Overall, it takes primary school way too seriously and needs to calm down.
