"Awful is an understatement"

On multiple occasions I went to the mental health team and a few other trusted teachers in the school about how badly I was struggling and the shrugged it off as nothing, put me on a "fast tracked" wait list for a councillor who still took multiple years. Furthermore the pressure you receive from the teachers to get good grades to the point where you're convinced you've failed if you've not got 75%/grade A was debilitating. The amount of students who used to take drugs and things like that to try to keep up was a borderline epidemic within the school. Overall the experience at that school left me traumatised and any parent willing to send their child to that school should reconsider

"mental health at dane court "

the school is alright. they can be good to gell with mental health and stuff but not all the time. the PSO and SEN staff are really nice and take the time to help you with whatever you need. it's an okay school I would say

"Excellent School for our Daughter"

We have been thoroughly impressed with Dane Court Grammar School. Our daughter has settled in exceptionally well and loves the range of extracurricular opportunities available. The staff are supportive and passionate, and we appreciate the emphasis on caring and open-minded values.

"My child and others deserve better"

The student's hate each other and the teacher's vouch for 'good mental health' and a 'safe environment' - yet when theres a problem... not even a detention or anything

The student's that bully others or worse - are only given warnings and a stern talking to. My daughter came home with bruises on her arms and I found out her bullies are allowed to stay in school - sometimes even sitting next to her in class

Absolutely disgusted

"Outstanding Facilities and Teaching"

As a parent, I'm thrilled with the facilities at Dane Court. My son is in Year 7 and is loving the challenges and experiences he's having. The teachers are knowledgeable and the behaviour of the other pupils is excellent. We feel very fortunate to have secured a place here.

"Not a very safe, safeguarding team"

When confronted with a racist student who is also a danger to younger students as well as other peers (takes pictures without their permission and also dates significantly younger) - the school decides to berate the student that had compiled legible evidence as well as statements from the victims and instead turns the situation on them rather than punishing the perpetrator - doesn't give him anything at all.. not even a single warning or detention

"Dane Court doesn’t care. "

Dane Court Grammar School is honestly an abomination of a place; they lie about their code of conduct, they do not follow through with what they say, and they lie about things to get you to attend the school. They do nothing to help students being bullied, sexually harassed or the blatant sexism, homophobia and transphobia students have to deal with on the daily. They just don’t care about us.

"Generally Good but Some Disappointments"

We moved to the area when our son was in Year 11, and he joined Dane Court Grammar School for his final year. While the school's values and emphasis on caring are commendable, we had some issues with communication from the school and the facilities for our son's specific needs. Overall, it was a decent experience but not without its challenges.

"This school is not it "

The school does not handle racism, homophobia and slurs properly at all. There’s honestly about 3 teachers in the school who recognise they are inappropriate and punish students for using them. There is overwhelming pressure from teachers to grade in level 8+ and anything below is not good enough. The food is wayyyy overpriced and not worth the money at all.
