About St. Mary's Bluecoat Church of England Primary School

St Mary’s is a thriving school which opened on its current site in 1963. We take our name from the majestic St Mary Magdalene church, built by Thomas Telford, which stands proudly overlooking the beautiful riverside town of Bridgnorth. Our links with the church began in our origins when the school was run by the clergy, and we remain today a voluntary aided Church of England school.

"A warm welcome for our little one"

When we first visited St Mary's Bluecoat, we were struck by how friendly and welcoming the staff were. Our little one settled in straight away and has made some wonderful friends. The teachers are brilliant at engaging the children and making learning fun, and we love the focus on Christian values and community spirit.

"Some good things, but room for improvement"

We're generally happy with St Mary's Bluecoat, but there are a few areas where we think the school could improve. The facilities are great, but sometimes the playground can get a bit chaotic. We've also found the communication from the school to be a bit patchy at times. Still, the teachers are kind and the children are happy, so we'll keep an eye on things.

"A great place for our children to grow"

We were so impressed with St Mary's Bluecoat when our children were here. The staff were always approachable and supportive, and the programs they offered were engaging and relevant. We've been kept up-to-date with all their news and achievements, and we've seen how the school's values have helped shape our children into kind and responsible young people.
