"This is not a school."

2years 8 mounts and 3 weeks ago I faced the most disappointing day in which nor I or any other person of any ability should have endured. Joining Brentwood Ursuline convent night school for girls was one of the worst choices made for me. This school proves and is presented as a great convent school and yes the results may back up the learning etiquette for this school however, when it came down to the simply respect and offering of help and virtue for me and my family there standards seemed to no longer apply. Without capturing the schools reputation, the simple human decency of the staff themselves are merciless and have no regard for help- coming from a convent school this is shocking. A member of my family was facing anxiety towards learning and when no pleased help was required and severe impact struck all the school could offer was waiting, missed phone calls and pointless meetings which where all to prevent the police getting involved all to prevent there reputation.

"Worst Nightmare"

I gave one star as 0 stars was not an option.
This school is too interested in results and statistics to the detriment of the cohort.
Mental health is ignored, this school is everything that is wrong with a modern day society. Drop out rates are high as in year changes are in high demand. Headmaster suffers from self importance and disconnect from the parents

"Lack of bounds and lack of control , not what you expect"

Not happy
starting with
teachers not able to set clear boundaries and take charge of the class .
Girls able to talk back to teachers(was a big initial shock to my dd when she joined the school)
Girls wearing fake eyelashes, rolling skirts , girls do what they want. Teachers not able to control the situation.
My daughter’s mental health , behaviour deteriorated within 6months of joining school ,unfortunately.
She observed the school culture and picked up some bad habits too , sadly.
I heard from her there are loads of drama : Girls fighting, bullying each other, (outside school hours lots of girls vape , some drink alcohol, etc . ) it supposed to be a school with strong catholic values but it doesn’t feel that way.. you don’t need to be practicing catholic. School catchment area is very broad, unfortunately. It doesn’t have a local community feel…Girls coming from Grays, Basildon, Romford…
Poor communication with parents…
could go on and on
I don’t know where they get the statistics but it doesn’t feel like my daughter made any progress since joining the school, quite opposite .
I gave 2stars just because it’s the only catholic school in the area
Has large , nice outside area (loved by my dd)

"Serious bullying"

Bullying and serious is a few of the many negatives of this school

My daughter has been physically attacked and a teacher suggested to her to ask her parents to move her to another school

The school needs to tackle bullying. Bullies school expelled from the school to serve as a deterrent. The school is not doing anything about it and it is messing up the lives of the girls that are being bullied. A detailed report is going to be sent to Ofsted.

Academic knowledge is not the only thing a growing girl needs. A girl needs welfare and support from the school and not to be destroyed physically, emotionally and mentally.

I am not surprised about the low review score.
A social worker needs to be employed to this school on full time basis

"Why you should not go to ursuline"

Students are quite unfriendly. The teachers do not care about your opinions. Students are often bullied which may affect their mental health emotionally. Their food is okay but the lines are hectic. It's only 2 lines for over a 1000 students. Students vape in toilet stalls, and wear fake eyelashes and makeup. Some students believe that they are better than others and it not nice. I think they should also improve the quality of their school uniform.

"VERY BAD SCHOOL "

This school doesn’t know how to treat students as a past student this school is unhelpful to children with home situations and they will only keep labelling your children badly if they have problems or things they can’t control or change so they will treat your child unfairly
THIS IS A BAD SCHOOL

"Great First Year"

Our daughter has just started at Brentwood Ursuline, and we're all very happy with the school so far. The Year 7 open evening was well-organized, and the teachers have been great with helping her settle in. We look forward to seeing her grow and develop over the next few years.

"Excellent Education and Facilities"

My daughter loves attending Brentwood Ursuline Convent High School. The state-of-the-art sixth form block is impressive, and the teachers are all so supportive. The school's emphasis on duty and responsibility is wonderful, and I'm confident that it's preparing my child for a successful future.

"Worst School Ever!"

Most HORRIBLE school ever. They don’t listen to us when we don’t like something racist that a teacher said. Then when we do something and acc speak up about it we get shouted at and blamed and the problem doesn’t even get fixed. Multiple teachers have said the n word blatantly to students, but apparently it’s ok because they’re using it in context. And like they’re more worried about how u present yourself than your mental health and then when they try to ‘help’ they just tell u to join an anxiety group you tell your problems to. There have been multiple occasions of students smoking/vaping in the bathrooms, to which other students have reported these more than 3 times and have still not have been punished! Yet you wear a single piece of jewellery and get THREATENED with suspension?! They make racist comments towards mainly black students such as have to redo your hair because it’s too ‘extreme’ yet it is still a natural colour. There should be a warning when signing up to go to that mess of a place🤨

"Trash"

Don’t get me started! This school is terrible. The racism and homophobia is tragic. *** ******* ** ** ****** ****** and even their own teacher last who is currently in the school is gay they still treat us like crap. I will never forget when their said traditional African clothing are costumes. How rude can they be! I am so happy that this school got baited out on Twitter for their racism. I would never send my child here. They never talk about mental health issues and there biggest problems is how long our skirt are. They blame your for your own suicidal thoughts and self harming. I have been in this school for many years and I deffo wouldn’t recommend bringing your child here. This school drives you to kill yourself.

"Good, But Could Improve"

My child attended Brentwood Ursuline several years ago, and while we were happy with the education, there were a few issues with communication and organization. However, the school's Catholic values and emphasis on duty were wonderful, and I think it helped shape her into a great young woman. Overall, a good school, but could do with some improvements.

"If a school was trash this is baby shit"

The school is terrible! There are so many safety hazards! BUCHS is quite literally falling apart at the seams not to mention the lack in vocational courses and the treatment the students get. There is homophobia and sexism riddled throughout the school and that is just the teachers not to mention the student body which can be just as bad with unidentified bullying. Girls are unable to wear trousers to school and the uniforms are too expensive!
