Honestly the other reviews speak for them selves they now start to make the school harder every single year and many staff and students have left because of this

Worst rated school in Blackpool known for how bad bullying is people who are nice who go here get bullied into hospital its full of nittys and people who bad upbringings roughest of roughest taking it out on eachother

South shore has had many bad reviews and that shows something. There has been many accounts of racism and sexism plus bullying please go to a different school.

I was being harassed and teachers did nothing to help. When I finally freaked out because I was ELEVEN. I was punished for allegedly swearing at teachers and so on. I was put in iso. I was in tears that when someone asked if I was okay the head of year came out and yelled at me each time saying it was all my fault. After getting off the phone with my mother she lied to my damn face saying they’re will be consequences when I get home (in reality my mother verbally abused her for putting me into iso for standing up for myself-thanks mama🫶). The next day I was put into BASE for the same reason and had to stay after school.

After this I’ve been left with PTSD and trust issues. If you still need a school may I recommend Armfield Academy? I have been there for a long time and the teachers are way more welcoming and polite. They will listen if your child has SEN or a mental health issue. Despite the wait list your child will get treated with kindness and respect.

Just horrible no protection to the kids makes children to labor and very harsh detentions and food is to expensive you can barely get anything with 3 pound so in summary just horrible.

I used to go here and it was the worst.they didn’t help when i was getting bullied,didn’t help when I didn’t know what to do and the kids there are the worst.i don’t recommend putting your kid here

We are extremely happy with South Shore Academy. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We particularly appreciate the emphasis on ambition, purpose, and achievement that underpins the school's mission.

My little brother goes here and it’s a amazing school they help him personally if he needs help with anything and if there’s a problem they sort it straight away instead of leaving it for weeks then addressing it.

When he started in year 7 they put him in a smaller class away from all other years to get him comfortable with it because he’s a really anxious kid and wasn’t sure about going so they placed him there to allow him time to get used to the school

We had a mixed experience at South Shore Academy. The school has a lot to offer, including a great range of extracurricular activities and a supportive community. However, we sometimes found communication with teachers to be lacking, and we felt that the school could do more to engage with parents.

We've been really impressed with the welcome and support we've received since our son started at South Shore Academy. The school's values of ambition, purpose, and achievement are evident in everything they do, and we appreciate the opportunities they're providing for our child.
