"Attacks and Bullys "
Teachers couldn’t care less about your mental health as long as the school looked good. There was only one teacher who was any good at helping every student he could by giving all of them the same treatment. This teacher is called Mr Callaghan. The rest couldn’t care less. I had a friend in my classes who was attacked by two students in the school and the police asked the school to keep them separate however, they didn’t do that. They instead let them sit on the same lunch table and torment her for the rest of the year. Another time a girl told me to slit my wrists and I was put in isolation for shouting at her when she got away without any punishment even when she knew what she had said. You’re just a number to them and always will be. I’m currently at college and about to leave with the equivalent of three A-Levels but students do not deserve to go to a place deemed “safe” and be made into the villain for speaking out.

"it’s okay"
needs a new head teacher who will actually do his job and speak to parents and pupils without getting other staff to do it for him. there are a few nice teachers e.g. miss james, mrs armstrong. doesn’t deal with bullying very well. was bullied and was crying in the toilets deputy head found me and i explained and nothing happened to the bullies. was sitting in the toilets crying during lesson because of how bad it was. mrs brough found me and tried to make me go back to lesson for obvious reasons i didn’t want to. again nothing was done about it was screamed at and given an after school detention because i didn’t want to go to lesson due to bullies.

"Excellent School with Exceptional Values"
We're so proud to be part of the John Henry Newman community! The school's commitment to Catholic values and its focus on supporting young carers really resonates with us. The facilities are impressive and the staff are always approachable.

"Good School but Room for Improvement"
We've been pleased with the progress our child has made at John Henry Newman. However, we've noticed that the school meal options could be improved, and the PE kit requirements can be a bit confusing. Overall, it's a good school with potential.

"Excellent Education and Facilities"
We were really impressed with the education our child received at John Henry Newman. The school's extra-curricular programs, such as the Young Carers initiative, are fantastic and have a real impact. The facilities are top-notch and the staff are very supportive.

"its ok? "
i am going into year 11 in september and honestly my experience hasnt been bad nor amazing. just kind of in the middle. some of the teachers are amazing, some are alright and one or two are just terrible. situations like bullying do get sorted eventually but not relatively quickly. theres not many clubs or anything but i suppose its a small school so. the new building is nice on the outside but on the inside its quite plain at the minute but i think they will make it feel more school like. generally people are well behaved but a lot of times people are absolutely mental. there is always a group of people who gets away with everything but its ok overall i guess.

"All round decent school."
Overall Decent school. Smallish compared to others in area. Staff are alright with dealing with situations. Majority of pupils are also well behaved. Schools has some good facilities according to its size I heard they recently moved to a new site. From my experience the majority of problem are solved but slowly. There is room for improvement.

"Do not send your child here"
The teachers are incapable of treating all pupils the same. They are nasty when talking about students and handling situations. They all have pupils in every year which they will let get away with anything. They let pupils get away with bullying. They are incapable of listening to both sides of an argument or disagreement. Without speaking to both parties they give a child a bad reputation and tell the pupils that they should not be around them as they are a “bully”.
