"Average Experience, Some Room for Improvement"

While our child has generally enjoyed her time at Baysgarth School, we've noticed some inconsistencies in teaching quality and a lack of communication from the school on occasion. That being said, the teachers we've met, like Mr. Jenkins in Year 7, have been engaging and supportive. We hope the school will address our concerns and improve overall.

"A Great School with Exceptional Teachers"

We've been thoroughly impressed with the progress our children have made at Baysgarth School. Their teachers, particularly Mrs. Taylor in Year 5, have been brilliant in supporting their learning and encouraging them to reach their full potential. The school's facilities, including the new library, are also top-notch.

"Terrible"

The Deputy head said something to my child but denied saying it to the extreme she was accusing us of making out the school tells lies, eventually she put in writing after an investigation that she did say it, I took it to the board of governors who did nothing about it, said she acted accordingly.
Another issue was the school had claimed we had numerous meetings about my child as they had ticked a box, it took 9 months of emails asking for proof, eventually I had to submit a freedom of information request to get the information and surprise these meetings as I was telling them never happened had not happened, and the result of all this challenging the school was to punish the parent by restricting my access to the school, they do not like to be challenged or proved wrong.

"problems "

at baysgarth school. the academic and sporting side of the school are to a high standard. however magotity if students find it difficult to understand why they place such significant and harsh rules. such as… “coats inside means detention” however no students have anywhere to place their coats at the start of the day. and most students bring a bag and a pe kit magority of the week. so they don’t want to be carrying around their coat into o of that so it’s easier to wear it. another rule I find unnecessary… no cycling shorts, hoodies with a hood, grey leggings or shorts for pe. now I get it’s part of the uniform. but in my op and the magority of the female students attending baysgarth. feel the no cycling sorts rule is unnecessary. i do get why they don’t want cycling shorts as some shorts are considered inappropriate. But as the weather temperatures start to increase. a lot of female students will want to wear shorts. the shorts the school website provide are not available for some price ranges. and also each and every female students body is different. And yes you can alter sizes. but some students may be struggling to find a pair of shorts that fit that fit appropriately and comfortably.

"my experience "

Well, the school is just shit. Didn’t deal with bullying at all. The bulling I went though didn’t get sorted at all and because of that I left after year 9. The drama teachers and English teachers are nice tho.

"Good But Problematic "

The school and learning side is extremely amazing, however the students really let it down. Bullying is extremely common and fights happen almost every week. They provide no emotional help or support near exams and it’s very hard to find a teacher you trust, especially for mental health assistance. They also did not handle the pandemic well as students have had to isolate 3+ times since reopening in April. Crammed corridors and bullying are the worse aspects.
