"Some ups and downs, but overall a supportive school"
We've had a bit of a mixed experience at Barndale School, but the staff have always been willing to listen and try to help. The curriculum can be a bit disjointed at times, and we've had some issues with communication between teachers. However, the school's values and commitment to diversity and inclusivity really shine through, and we feel lucky to have a school that understands our child's needs.

"Barndale School has been a lifesaver for our family!"
We moved to Alnwick a year ago and were worried about our daughter's special needs being supported. The staff at Barndale School have been incredible, the small class sizes and family feel have made a huge difference to her happiness and progress. She loves her Sleepy School trips and the residential provision has given us so much peace of mind knowing she's safe and happy.

"A truly special school that exceeded our expectations"
Our son attended Barndale School for a few years and we were blown away by the dedication and care shown by the staff. The all-age provision and intervention team were a game-changer for him, and he thrived in the residential provision. We can't recommend the school highly enough.
