Vrije Basisschool - Lucerna

We've been part of the Lucerna community for four years now and I have to say, we've had an exceptional experience. From the modern facilities to the emphasis on mentoring and self-improvement, our children have thrived in a supportive and stimulating environment. I particularly appreciate the focus on 'burgerzin' or civic-mindedness - it's wonderful to see our kids developing a sense of social responsibility.

My daughter has been at Lucerna for two years now, and it's been a joy to see her grow and develop in such a nurturing environment. The teachers are supportive and engaging, and the school's focus on 'zelfontplooiing' or self-improvement has really helped her build confidence and resilience. I love the way the school encourages parental involvement, and we've made some wonderful friends through the parent-teacher association.

I was a parent at Lucerna for three years, and while it was a great experience, I couldn't help but feel that the school was pushing our children to work harder than they were ready to. The facilities are excellent, and the staff are dedicated, but I sometimes felt that the emphasis on academic achievement overshadowed other aspects of childhood. Still, my kids have turned out well, and I'm grateful for the education they received.
