About Spark Vale Academy

Spark Vale Academy is a therapeutic and trauma-informed independent special school for pupils with autism, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health needs. We believe every young person deserves to feel safe, understood and valued before they can learn and grow. Our approach is centred on relationships, well-being and belonging.

"Excellent school with a caring approach"

Spark Vale has been a game-changer for our family. The staff are truly understanding and go above and beyond to support our child's needs. The facilities are also excellent, with a calm and peaceful atmosphere that really helps with our child's anxiety.

"Mixed experiences, but some outstanding staff"

We've had a mixed experience at Spark Vale so far. Some of the staff have been absolutely brilliant and have really helped our child to settle in, while others have been less effective. The school's facilities are great, but we feel that the curriculum could be more tailored to individual needs. Overall, we're still working with the school to find the right fit for our child.

"A school that truly believes in its children"

Spark Vale has been an absolute lifesaver for our family. The staff are dedicated, passionate, and genuinely care about the children's wellbeing. The school's approach to therapy, social development, and academic excellence has really helped our child to flourish. We're so grateful to have found such a supportive community.

"A school that truly puts the child first"

We moved our son to Spark Vale after a difficult experience at his previous school. The staff were incredibly supportive and helped him to thrive in a way that we never thought possible. The school's values of emotional wellbeing, social development, and academic excellence really shone through in our child's journey.
