Teachers are really good and A level is not bad at all. However, since it was bought by the Globeducate group the overall organisation of the school has gone downhill. For example, teachers missing and no substitutes available — which means children not learning for months at a time. Also, prices have wildly increased with no improvements to justify this.
I sent my three kids at Cambridge House British International School. My experience was absolutely great. I didn't choose the school only for academic purposes, but also for the warmth of the staff.
My son has been at Cambridge House all his school life, and I can say that it is a wonderful school, full of possibilities. He is graduating this year and going on to higher education in the USA, and the dedication and commitment of his teachers to his learning has had a big part to play. Since being part of Globeducate, students can enjoy exciting experiences with students from other schools in the group around the world — from sports to music to debate and research. I would definitely recommend it, also because of the warmth of the community.
My son has been at the school for nearly 2 years and is extremely happy. The quality of teachers is fantastic. The school is making improvements to the facilities which is needed.
Cambridge House has been gathering a lot of negative feedback recently. It is true that it is in a period of transition after being bought by Globeducate, but this is all leading to what I can see to be a positive move for the school. My children have been in this school for 3 years (now in secondary) and I couldn't be happier. The staff are amazing and the school has not lost its character and warmth.
As parents of students at this center we are very concerned with the direction this school is taking since it was acquired by the Globeducate group a year ago. They do not have enough teachers to attend classes for all groups, they are drastically reducing staff, of the few teachers who remain many are taking leave (I suppose due to discontent), and this is on top of the exaggerated policy of constant increases in monthly fees.
It's not what it used to be. I have to evaluate this school very negatively since it was acquired by the Globeducate group. Our experience and opinion (shared by many parents of students) is that it is a center that invests a lot in advertising marketing, but very little in teaching staff and psycho-pedagogical resources, despite what they advertise on their website. Teachers change constantly because they leave as soon as they can and the opinions of parents do not count for anything. We are cash cows to be squeezed more and more knowing that the last thing we want is to take our children out of school where they have their friends. The Globeducate group, to which the center belongs, is implementing an education system, against the parents' will, in which each child has a laptop and spends more than 45% of the time in front of a screen starting on Year 9.
