About Vrije Basisschool POER

POER is a small, warm school where each child grows at their own pace, with space for talent, curiosity, and individuality. We learn by doing: from Freinet inspiration, we stimulate discovery, collaboration, and initiative. We regularly go outside, because nature is our learning place.

"Some Growing Pains, But Overall a Positive Experience"

We've had a bit of a rocky start at POER, with some communication breakdowns and minor issues with classroom organization. However, the teachers and staff have been responsive to our concerns, and we've seen our child make progress in their learning. We're hopeful that we'll continue to see improvement in the coming months.

"A Great Start!"

We're still in our first year at POER, but so far, we've been impressed with the school's approach to learning. The teachers are engaging and enthusiastic, and the facilities are modern and well-maintained. Our child seems to be thriving in the school's supportive environment.

"Our POER Journey Begins!"

We're absolutely thrilled to have found POER in Heule. The school's emphasis on experiential learning and Freinet education has been a game-changer for our child. The outdoor classrooms and 'loose parts' approach to play-based learning have been a revelation. We can't wait to see our child thrive here!

"POER: A True Community"

As a former parent, I can attest to the warmth and inclusiveness of the POER community. My child loved participating in the POERcafé and Atelier programs, and the outdoor education was a highlight of their day. The school's commitment to sustainability and environmental education is truly inspiring.
