Het Tandwiel is een freinetschool. De basis van onze pedagogische aanpak zijn de “invarianten” van Célestin Freinet, een reeks pedagogische beginselen. De freinettechnieken zijn de werkvormen die we gebruiken in de klassen.

"Love the emphasis on sustainability"

My child loves the school's Earth-friendly menu and the way they involve the kids in the cooking process. The school's commitment to sustainability is something we really appreciate. However, sometimes the communication could be better between teachers and parents. Overall, we're very happy with Het Tandwiel!

"Wonderful experience at Het Tandwiel"

We moved to Gent and found this school through word of mouth. The staff is super friendly and the facilities are amazing! Our child loves the freedom to explore and learn through play. Highly recommend Het Tandwiel!

"Excellent school with a great community"

Het Tandwiel has been an amazing school for our family. The teachers are all very passionate and dedicated, and the school's values align perfectly with our own. Our child feels safe and supported, and we love the opportunities for them to explore and learn. Highly recommend!

"Challenging and supportive environment"

We were part of Het Tandwiel for 3 years and had a great experience. The school's focus on Freinet principles really helped our child develop a love for learning. The teachers were always approachable and willing to adapt to our child's needs. Only reason for 4.5 stars is that the school was still in its development phase when we left.
