Orrell Holgate is a special place - we are a successful and ambitious school with a caring family ethos. Our children are well behaved, hardworking and caring; we look after them very well. We work alongside our parents to equip each child with the tools they need to be successful, safe and happy now, at secondary school and beyond.

"Amazing school - our daughter loves it!"

My daughter has been at Orrell Holgate for a year now and it's been an absolute pleasure. The teachers are all so supportive and the facilities are fantastic. The school's 'L.E.A.R.N' values really shine through in everything they do. Our daughter has come on so much since starting here and we couldn't be happier.

"Exceptional education and care"

I have two children who attended Orrell Holgate and I couldn't be more impressed with the education and care they received. The school's curriculum is engaging and challenging, and the staff are always on hand to support the children. My kids loved the breakfast club and after-school activities, and we appreciated the regular updates from the teachers.

"Fantastic school community"

Orrell Holgate has become like a second family to us. The teachers are all so committed to helping the children succeed, and the school's values of lifelong learning, equipped for the world, ambitious in every area, resilient and courageous are truly inspiring. We've been really impressed with the opportunities available to the kids, from visits to museums to competitions and events.

"Some good, some areas for improvement"

We've been happy with Orrell Holgate for the most part, but there are a few things that could be improved. The school's remote learning provision was a bit patchy during lockdown, and we've had some issues with communication from the school office. However, the teachers are generally great and the kids love the extracurricular activities.
