"Pea-Brained faculty"

Incapable teachers, outdated teaching, and once again incapable teachers.

Any and every incident involving students in this school I have heard of, it has been "resolved" by the teachers encouraging said students to make up and be friends again.

Safe to say, real life isn't as happy-go-lucky and lackadaisical as this school makes it out to be.

When a student does wrong against another they were once friends with, NEITHER OF THEM wish to be friends again. That is not how you handle a situation between two teenagers.

I expected better from you St Josephs, which is the biggest lie I have ever told.

Considering Google has turned off the reviews for your school and the staggering 9/10 reviews on this website being 1 stars, my expectations are fairly low for you.

And yet you still fail to disappoint me at every turn.

"Great School!"

I have been to many school as a supply teacher, believe me when I say St Joseph’s is one of the best schools in the North East. Their students are generally well mannered, the learning structure of the school is solid, and their staffs are warm and friendly. I wouldn’t change a thing!

"Think twice before sending your child here"

If I could give this place a 0 star I would words can’t quite sum up the environment in this school mental health is treat with complete disregard new management has made this worse , days genuinely seem like years in that place it has slowly become my least favourite place in the world as students can’t express themselves can’t study in the way they want to and more importantly cannot utilise the toilet without a pass that quote in itself is something I never thought I’d have to say and then when you manage to get past many of layers of security to the toilet your met with a place even more grim than the school itself graffiti on walls toilet paper on walls and a disgraceful stench needless to mention that no toilet doors lock as all locks are broken oh and also once your time is done and that bell chimes think twice before leaving as your almost guaranteed to be in for another hour of the hellhole due to so called step leaning (solitary room in which you have to do more learning even if your grades are high)

"st josephs cathoilc academy"

i was in this school from year seven till year 9 they give no support whatsoever for mental health or bullying. all lessons are distrupted and teachers dont actually like to teach. when people such as ofsted come in all children that are known to cause trouble are but in behaviour support even if done nothing wrong. dinner ladys are disrespectful and abuse there power and overall respect for the pupils is terrible we are treat like we have no rights whatsoever.

"This school is very bad"

This school has no help for the children in anyway whatsoever. Bullying is a big thing that happens and our teachers couldnt care about it. I'm a student at at Joseph's and I'm being bullied every day I struggle with mental health and I have autism but no one cares. The teacher are selfish and rude. Do not go here it's a horrible place and a absolute s**thole

"DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE"

I am a teacher at St Joseph's and a mother of 3.
Do not send your children to this school!
The school has 70% great staff. However, management is weak and very little support is given. Pupils that attend St Joseph's are generally insolent with a disregard for education and respect. Several times PER DAY I bear witness to hate, racism, homophobia and xenophobia. Diversity is low in staff and pupils and it shows in the attitudes of the majority of pupils and a small group of staff.
Bullying is another problem and for whatever reason the school seem incapable of handling it.
Management at very top prioritise a catholic education and enrichment above a practical education and respect for equality.
I believe St Joseph's is a toxic place to send your child, despite having generally good facilities and staff.

"Positive Experience, But Some Room for Improvement"

We've been generally pleased with our experience at St Joseph's Catholic Academy, but there are a few areas where we feel the school could improve. The facilities are good, and the FLAME values are great, but we've had some issues with communication from the school and some of the teachers. We're hoping that these issues will be addressed as our child progresses through the school.

"Excellent School Experience for Our Children"

We've been exceptionally happy with our experience at St Joseph's Catholic Academy. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, which has made a big difference to our child's learning environment. The FLAME values are really brought to life in the school, and we've been impressed by the way the teachers and staff go out of their way to create a positive and supportive atmosphere.

"Very poor "

Allow a toxic environment where mental health is ignored and support for pupils is in very very short supply.

"Appalling "

Toxic environment, generally quite friendly teachers who care somewhat about grades etc. but absolutely no support for mental health, or bullying issues within the school. Hateful pupils with high levels of racism and homophobia prevalent within school society.

"it’s just a bad school ngl"

they don’t care ab the kids mental health, sanitation isn’t good (never soap in the soap dispensers) teachers are too strict and can be rude, they give codes out for the littlest things. my friend once got sent out of a lesson because they were explaining to the teacher that they have adhd, idk about you but i find that disgusting. bullying is an issue and the teachers make no effort to stop it.

"Helped Our Child Achieve Their Potential"

Our child attended St Joseph's Catholic Academy a few years ago, and we were really pleased with the way the school supported them in achieving their academic potential. The staff were always approachable and willing to help, and the facilities were great. We've stayed in touch with the school and have been impressed by their ongoing commitment to excellence.
