"A Hidden Gem in Colchester!"
We were blown away by the warm welcome at Paxman Academy and the commitment of the teachers to our children's education. The school's focus on individualised learning has really helped our child to flourish, and we've seen a significant improvement in their confidence and academic progress.

"Fantastic School, Fantastic Community!"
We've been thoroughly impressed with the Paxman Academy community since our child joined. The teachers are dedicated, the facilities are excellent, and the school's events are always well-organised and fun for the kids. We feel grateful to be a part of such a supportive and inclusive school family.

"Hell on Earth"
This place has a lot of potential but deliberately fails at eve everything thrown at it. The discipline would be more sufficient if no one was in the room at all, options for food are limited, and there isn’t much student voice, at the start of every year you can sign up for a role like head of subject but if you don’t get the part they don’t tell you why and you gotta wait another year. Some teachers don’t even feel like they know the subject they’re teaching, like how my history teacher said Britain France and Russia were the axis powers.
Tldr don’t go here

"Car parking "
Staff are, Absolutely insensitive selfish, with home owners and tenants, no consideration where they park their Damn cars 5 days a week, especially Smallwood Rd and Bishop road, the school has a car park, so use it, one owner is disabled and can never park outside their own bloody home, ( Bishop road) when delivery people come to our homes they sometimes have to park in another road, the light blue ford KA car is annoying most of the occupants in Bishop road, no thought consideration for us elderly that can’t even park outside our own homes, as we get tooted to move, and we bloody live here, grandchildren visit a certain home owner regularly and that selfish KA driver ( blonde haired woman) just parks in our road all day and every day, this also involves the two other big white cars. Selfish people, regards Mr & mrs T.

"!!!!!"
The the school only cares about having perfect uniform and good grades. Only has one set group to increase average grades. All the mental health posters/slideshows round the building and on the website are just for show and the teachers can't control the classes. they act like they care and they litterally don’t. since coming here my mental health has gotten so much worse because the school don’t know how to deal with it. the teachers all pick favourites and if they don’t like you they just pick on you all the time. they are all hypocrites and tell you not to do stuff when they do it themselves like drinking in science or eating in corridors. it’s such a bad school and the teachers only care about numbers and not how we really feel. some days i struggle even coming into school because they don’t care about me, just the fact that i’m in. and they care more about having a bracelet on or earrings than how you are feeling. they dismiss your feelings and act like they care when they don’t.
if i could of known, i never would of gone to this school because it is so bad. they don’t listen to anything you have to say and just shout at you. the teachers are so rude to students and we all feel so uncomfortable coming into school knowing we are going to get shouted at for the smallest things.
i hate this place so much. i dread coming into school every day. i can’t wait to leave!

If you value your life, free time and mental health run for the hills.

"Run while u still can"
This school only cares about the student uniform and grades instead of mental health. They have posters around the school and links on their website but thats just for show. It is more like a prison in disguise than anything else and your child's mental health will suffer. So if i were you i would run while you still can

"Run while you still can"
They care more about uniform and grades than mental health. Some teachers are decent but others are just arrogant. Constantly talk bad about students in the staffroom and others teachers will have 'a word' with that student. Basically just a jail in disguise so run while u still can!!!!
